this is the breakdown of what I have found out so far from PC

04-05 prius' have the following part numbers:
84720-47010 is for the EV button also known as the switch assy. patern
90980-10964 is for the housing for the EV button.
I have done some investigating and have found a site that sells the OEM parts for under $30. That is the total for both - $25 EV button and $4 housing- This is an unheard of cost so I want to try and check it out first.

    06'-07'
I have found it very difficult to find the part numbers for the 06-07 prius' Can someone help? I saw a reference to a 84720-47020, but it seems that Germany and Japan dealers replys are always "not a real part #".---NEED HELP HERE!!!

DIY Install (sorry but some of the links did not work for me so I have not included them)

well just to follow up - I placed an order today and only had to pay $128.73 for 3 sets of buttons (2x 2005 and 1x 2006) and the matching housings. I hope these were the right numbers. The supplier spent a lot of time looking for the parts (he is in Japan). His cost is almost that of the dealer - not a 200% price increase as other sites are. I saw one site that was $132 for just 1 set of buttons and matching housing. More to come. These are suppose to be the infamous OEM buttons from toyota (factory). If they have part numbers I will post for all next time. If anyone has any updates or can help PLEASE post so that I could modify order at the last minute.

Ok so I have received a few emails from people asking me to post my findings so here goes. I checked 4 different sites out. 1 in Germany, Sigma, and 2 additional locations in Japan. Of all of them one in Japan seemed the best. It was cheep and they replied within a day or two to emails. I have the breakdown of what I found there below.
    the dealer was jsgarage
    email:"jsgarage" <[email protected]>
total cost was cost +5% commission +shipping
and received parts within 1.5 weeks in factory bags (very good packaging)
    notes:
1)you can not use yahoo accounts to buy items, but can use them to email jsgarage
2)you need to send copy of license (to verify that you are indeed you-it's a japan thing)
3)they setup a secure website, but it only accepts hotmail or at least my work email account (I ordered some parts in january and got them in 1.5 weeks)

    for the 04-05'
EV button part number-84720-47010 cost was 2977 yen (US ~$24.71 depending on conversion rate)
harness part number 90980-10964 cost was 440 yen (US ~$3.66 depending on conversion rate)
you need the connector pins which you should be able to get at local dealer
I have not confirmed this but you can get the folowing rectangular pins (these worked for my 06')

    For the 06-?07?
EV button part number 84720-47020 cost was 2850 yen (US ~$23.60 depending on conversion rate)
harness part number 82824-21030 cost was 460 yen (US ~$3.81 depending on conversion rate)
check for pins because these should be smaller than

    For 04-07
please check this with someone as I just got the pricing and did not order these from jsgarage. I got the parts from someone that worked at a local dealership (part was replaced from another car and got the leads)
tin plated rectangular pin part number 82998-12690 cost was 390yen (US ~$3.23 depending on conversion rate) you will need 5 total
or (either choose gold or tin whatever you prefer- but you need at least 5)
gold plated rectangular pin part number 82998-12700 cost was 390yen (US ~$3.23 depending on conversion rate) you will need 5 total

you can try these sites also:
slow in email but almost the same pricing
    http://japanparts.com/db/partslist.php?dea...er=&volkey=
too expensive but are ok I have heard also ~4weeks to get the parts (compare to 1.5 jsgarage)
    http://www.sigmaautomotive.com/jdm/prius/prius0405.php
not very helpful as they could only verify info and only spoke Germany (came across them on buisness trip)

<div align="left">Good news and bad travel together on my EV Button adventure.

The good news was the suggestion to use jsgarage. They are quite diligent and communicative. I ordered the parts suggested above and it took about 3 weeks to start to delivery. N.B., it took about a week for PayPal to clear an overseas payment. The order arrived in good condition. The EV Button and its harness fit.

The bad news is the wire connector parts. These will lead out of the harness into various connectors on board the vehicle. Foolishly, I misread the above chart. No part number was ever suggested for the 2006 model. The numbers I used were for an earlier model. The connector piece is too big.

So I am stuck. Any suggestions?

By the way, I own a 2007 Prius.

What wire connectors are you looking for? The connectors that fit the EV switch harness , or the connector that fits into ECU plug H14 ? If it's the ECU connector, just use one taken from the flasher harness inside the steering wheel bottom. As noted in online instructions. If it's the switch harness connectors you need, I can't help.
This is why Sigma is a good source because they include everything you need in one "kit". It may cost slightly more, but worth it.

email me at [email protected]. I may be able to help. Also check your local toyota dealer. They may have the connectors (I found mine had a connector that I just took the parts from -no cost)
