    Just goes to show that there really is a sizable EV market in fleet vehicles and the like right now. Of course, every red blooded American should have one too. There's more whinging and moaning in that crowd, however. Really though, how many fleets would save scads of cash with EVs? Probably most of them, though I suppose the driving demands/conditions might pose some limitations. Newer EVs (ie more advanced batteries) would fare quite well though, I would think.

    EVs are a perfect fit for many utility operations. The best fit I can think of is mail and package delivery. A known area (range) with constant stop and go. Lower maintenance and lower operating cost... and of course much lower pollution with the use of EVs. As a kid, I remember really wanting one of those V8 Jeeps that delivered our mail. V8. Max speed in the entire delivery area was 35mph. Typical distance between stops: 75 feet. An 8-cyl engine was used.
