Since I've owned my prius, I could switch the audio screen and see what artist and song was playing on the radio. It would scroll through the artist, song and radio station. It did that with all my presets.

Now, 2 days ago, nothing is scrolling. It looks like it is stuck. And it is just not specific to one radio station, it is all presets. I have had one radio station get stuck in the past but that was a problem at the station. All 6 stations can't be having the same problem at the same time.

Any ideas? Did something change in radio programming in general? Is there something wrong with my MFD? Did I accidently change a setting somehow?

Were you moving when you last looked? The Prius disables some features when the car is in motion.

I had that thought too. Even though I was positive I have seen it scroll while moving. I made sure to look while stopped at at a stop light today and still no scrolling.

Ours started to give the same info for two different stations. It will scroll the same info on two presets at the same time. So one preset always has the wrong info.
I'm going to disconect the 12V fo a few minuets and see if resets the whole radio system. Otherwise I'll try and post the results from the dealer exam....

Toyota's lawyers don't think you can read and drive at the same time, so they disabled the scrolling RDS information when the car is moving. This is similar to what they did with the nav system as well.

I disconnected the 12V for a few minuets and it fixed the my problem. Somehow the display glitch picked up on an adjacent preset and plugged that info into the Public radio preset. Now there's no bleed over of info and the Public radio preset gives only station # info and no content info.
Now if I could only get the dealer to give me my car back without any warning lights coming on...

Resurrecting an old post here, but has anyone figured this out? I used to be able to view the scrolling radio info when in the "audio" screen showing the presets even when moving. Recently this feature has disappeared and the messages are frozen, even when standing still. Any ideas?

After poking around for a few minutes I found that by doing a type search (e.g. ROCK, INFO, MISC) until I found the station I wanted and then re-adding it to the preset list I could restart the track info scroll on the "AUDIO" screen even while driving. I am not sure what reset them to a static state in the first place but it is nice to be able to see the scrolling info again. There is still one difference. In the past, I seem to recall that on the "AUDIO" screen the info scroll was active for all the presets and now the info scroll is only active for the preset currently being listened to.

A little more testing showed that by using the "seek" button on the dash head unit and adding the preset that way that I could also reactivate the info scroll for a frozen preset. This is easier than guessing which "type" a station is characterized as.

Hope this helps someone. If anyone can report on the number of presets that scroll the song info from their "AUDIO" screen while driving that would be helpful.

How do I get my radio information in my 2010 Prius to stay on the display instead of switching back to the map.
