I'm bummed that I found out about the meeting too late. It did get ideas pumping through my brain. Here are some:

    1. Meet at Greystone Mansion in Bev Hills. It's a public park, beautiful grounds, large parking lot, and it's almost always empty (occasional weddings). Also, it's location would be a good starting point for a drive down Sunset to the PCH. Cons: I don't know about restrooms and picnicing is NOT allowed.

    2. Picnic at the Korean Friendship Bell in San Pedro. I can't remember how large the parking lot is, but great place for a picnic, right on the ocean. Cons: it's windy.

I just thought I would throw those out there. I live in Miracle Mile/Central LA. Can't wait to meet.

Personally I like the idea of a ride up the coast, perhaps from Malibu down to Palos Verdes.

OK guys, it usually takes a few tries to get some responses. another gathering before the holidays would be fun, hit me up and if there is reasonable response I will take the lead again on organizing something. If there is no response I will put it off for later in the year.

I am available that day, but the Ralph's Parking lot isn't that parking lot underground?

May I propose the roof parking lot at "The Grove" there is a great view from up on top and I think the first two hours are free to park?

Just a Note: Validation Required for Free 2 hr parking at the Grove Parking Garage....

"The primary access to The Grove Los Angeles parking garage is from The Grove Drive (formerly Stanley Avenue). You'll find 3,500 parking spaces here in a seven-story structure. You can park here two hours free with validation from a business in The Grove. If you're also visiting the adjacent Farmers Market, the two complexes do not accept each other's validation. If you want to browse at The Grove but eat at the Farmers Market, park there instead."

click on the site below to join the yahoo groups for any and all updates and pictures. It seems that if we have to pay to park for a bit, I don't see any problem with that personally. The other option is to stay for lunch. We can decide collectively that morning. Any ideas are appreciated and encouraged.
