I've got an 06 #7. To the lower left of the steering wheel there are 2 unused knockouts next to the simmer switch. One is for the EV button, what is the other one for?

Don't laugh, I shoe horned in a set of Grover air horns right after I bought my prius. Whow, most people don't expect more then a sparrow fart from a prius. Instead, they get 135db of wetting your pants indugnation from my prius and a smug smile from me. I really like them. Oh, and I put the switch for my Grovers next to the simmer switch.

Our mechanic at work got a set of train horns - - he said they are over 300 deci's. He hooked them up in our warehose and let them GO. There was a real hush that fell over our normally noisy warehouse. Sounded like a train was 2 feet away.
    Love the simmer switch!

Yes I have one for sale. You can send me your money. You use it in conjunction with Manifold Destiny : The One! The Only! Guide to Cooking on Your Car Engine!. Since the ICE doesn't run all the time it makes it hard to cook with. So with the simmer switch it will help you cook on those long trips. Its kind of opposite if the EV switch. It will make you run on ICE only.

Well, prior to 2006, there's only one spare knock-out.

<div align="left">In order, from left to right:

    1. IPA (Intelligent Parking Assistant) (momentary) button
    2. EV (Electric Vehicle) (momentary) button
    3. ambient light dimmer

There is a kit for the EV button you can purchase from Sigma Automotive (well documented here in PriusChat land). The IPA may also be purchased from Sigma but you cannot just wire in that functionality as you can the EV feature. That said, and although I do not own one, it looks cool and the clever ones amongst us will no doubt find a way to make use of it. (One idea that came to mind is to enable the rear view camera on command.)</div>

I read somewhere that it was the ignition switch for the "traffic clearing rockets." Its a black market dealer option, just ask for "option X" and nod your head, they'll know what your talking about. If you walk around and look at the front bumper, towards the drivers side (if I remember correctly) there is a little circle. That is where the barrel for the "traffic clearing rockets" is held. I dont have it installed yet, but this weekend I'm going to my local dealer to inquire about "Option X."
Next best thing from HOV stickers.

I appreciate the responses. If the leather seats are hooked up to the simmer switch does the fuse need to be upgraded?
