How is this deal

    Hi all,
    I am new to the forums. I currently drive a Mazda 3 Hatchback and considering to purchase a Prius. The quote I have received for a 2007 Base with #2 is below:
    "The MSRP is $23,752 which you can buy for $23,271 plus taxes and tags."
    Is that a good price?

    I got one like that for $1600 off list about 2 months ago via an internet quote. At least 3 dealers in the Boston area were around the same price (when you adjust for the differences in "documentation" fees).

    No, especially taking into consideration the fact that the '08 model goes on sale this month.

    You say no, but that's coming from a guy in California where you can get a Prius for 2k under what you can on the East Coast. Your price is around "average", I'd try to haggle more and get atleast 1k under MSRP.
