"I'd like to see your photos."

Still working on getting those pics taken, daughter is on a week-long sleepover, so as soon as she is back, I will put her to work. :)

"I wasn't able to find the Bridgestone info online, but found a similar suggestion on an RV tire care page:

    Read it, good info. Thanks.

I asked my dealer about the wheel trim rings and he told me that they actually affect the drag in the wheel well and that's why Toyota put them on the car to have a positive effect on mileage. That my story and I'm sticking to it.

I too would like to think that there was a reason for them, but then why are they so removable? Probably an afterthought? That is why I painted them, to give a better look because they are (were) quite ugly and I think the wheel looked better without them. Now, supposedly if its true what they say, I have gotten my mileage back and a better looking wheels as well :) (see pics on other "Painted Rims" posting.)

I'm currently getting the best aggregate mileage I have ever seen, since I took off the trim rings.
I'm looking around for the "racing hubcaps" locally as I like the look. I'm not keen on ordering from the USA but if I need to I will. I don't expect a measurable drop in fuel consumption over naked wheels with the "racing hubcaps" but that land speed record look does it for me and suits the Prius.
