I did like the plate BTW- and yes we (here) live in a free society, First Amendment, etc., but remember not all believe in your right to free speech and may also not believe in the laws of the State....so they may choose to express themselves on your car. So, if you accept that possability, then express away. But please do not come crying when your car is keyed, kicked, spray painted, etc. Sometimes standing up for your rights is just painful.

Or you could get an LED Licence Plate Frame. It stores 6 messages and it has a remote so you can change them as needed. Maybe have one with your MPG or one that says, "Raise Police Officer's Salaries Now!" in case you're being followed. :p

I was seriously tempted to get one of those "Make your own message" plate holders (they include letters for making up stuff--though I like "make your own message" more than anything I could make up). -But, unless you want to go in for the led plate holders, the cheap "message" one may be an option for ya. I live in a free society also and without the complications associated with a multitude of amendments to remember :D and I can feel free to express myself on my car. I once hung a eureka flag
    [IMG]
on my electric antenna and someone else expressed their opinion by snapping my antenna off. $50 for a new mast!!
I choose not to adorn my car with stickers, I agree with several posters here, they make the car look tacky IMHO. Each to his or her own though, express away!!
Oh I have a couple of small stickers on my motorbike which display the emblem of my motorcycle club.

I would consider a small laser cut sign saying.
My sports car has 2 wheels

I'll take a picture looking out of it from the inside. There is easily 2-3" of visability space.

Interesting that you have the coexist sticker and then anti-republican stickers.

I have never had any issues with anyone who left a nasty note on my car. Except for the one time I got egged for an anti-bush sticker. Every time I go out and park my car in a parking lot or I am driving I almost have notes left on my car "great bumper stickers!" or "great message" and "love your car!" Once I almost got into an accident because chatting with someone with our windows down as she was applauding my car's bumper stickers.

They come off easily, sometimes I have more, sometimes I have less. I keep switching it up. The ones that stay are the Earth, Scotland, The Lorax and the Pentacle (which I purposely chose because it's not overly obvious as I do know this would attract negative attention) and "Fahrfromfullen". Otherwise I change the stickers up as the times and my mood changes. The Prius is my canvas and I chose to express myself in every way I see fit.

Perhaps if Repubs were a little more interested in co-existing, it wouldn't seem like a paradox? :D
and "Republicans for Voldemort" isn't necessarily anti-repub, it is to engender thinking.

Of course thinking seems to be frowned upon in some circles...

This is a really good thread.

I have NO stickers on our Prius. On my 1990 Volvo 245 (176,000 miles) I have a Volvo Club of America, a Porsche Club of America, and a Gold Aspen leaf.

I use to have one of those "W" with the international NO circle and diagonal bar across it on the back end of the Volvo back when the "War" in Iraq started. Some Jacka$$ Shrub supporter scratched is all up taking some of my paint with it.

I also use to keep a running tab of our brave men and women who have given their lives in Iraq. It was a sign that I updated every week that simply said, "1,300 have given up their lives for oil" (back when it was 1,300). Again, some TOOL wrote in lipstick on my back window - "so bed wetters like you can drive on our highways" I'm not too sure what that meant.......

So much for Freedom of Speech.

Back during the 2004 election, I had a Kerry/Edwards sign in the rear window. I was tooling down I-25 here in Denver when a car pulled up next to me with two young men inside. The passenger had a binder and flipped to a page and held it up to the window so I could read his message.

It said, "A vote for Kerry is a vote for ignorance"

I wonder what other messages and opinions this guy had.

Some of my favorite Bumper Stickers I see now around Denver are:

    George Bush - War Criminal
    "F" the President
Impeachment - If not NOW, when?

and the best one now is a, Bush/Cheney-04. I try to get along side of those people just to see what they look like. I mean these are the 20-25% of the people who still support this man. I wonder if these are the same 25% of people who have not read a book this year. Any Bush/Cheney sticker is a rare site now.

My all time favorite, non-political sticker was sighted at the Great Sand Dunes in southern Colorado. It was placed on the gas filler door and in 1" black, block letters, it simply said, URINE. I might actually try to find one of those.

Guess I'm just one of those "bed-wetting", "tree-hugging", "tofu-eating", Liberal that the Conservative Right is so afraid of.

AND I'M DAMN PROUD OF THAT.

Since it came time yesterday for me to finally put plates on my Prius, I went shopping for a license plate frame. I found a silver (plastic) frame with swappable letter tiles at Target. While I sympathise with "liberal"-oriented causes, in my state where it's practically a damnable offense in the sight of God to vote for any non-Republican, I, too, am a little concerned with vandalism if I post "liberal" or anti-status-quo messages. So I took the easy road and started out my first message being a little playful.

Ulysses Club is the world's (I think) largest motorcycle club.
Minimum age for members is 40 years for juniors and 50 for seniors. I think the club has 26,000 members.
Only rule to membership is, love bikes be over 40.

The only truly unfortunate sticker is the AAA. AAA is a very non-liberal entity that lobbies against many pro environmental movements and protection issues. AAA is in big oil and the Big 3's pocket too much to actually serve a liberal interest.

    Arrogant, Anti-Environmental, and Archaic.

Putting stickers on a Prius is like painting a mustache on the Mona Lisa. Oh, wait, she already has a mustache.

Like the bumper stickers. FAHRFROMFULEN is cute.

Thought I would share the rear of my Prius. I bought the "Wth?"/Bush bumper magnet a year and a half ago in Canada. I am suprised it has stayed on my car this whole time. And the plates CZYFRME is a "Melissa Etheridge" reference. I'm a huge fan of hers.
