On another of those YouTube videos, a TV comic said that it's unfair to call Craig a hypocrite. True, he opposes gay marriage. But he has never opposed anonymous gay bathroom sex.

Oh please, spare me! Do you honestly believe that homosexuals have to seek out anonymous, no-strings-attached sexual encounters ("physical companionship", as you so delicately put it) in restrooms, public parks and anywhere else they think they can get away with it, because homosexuality is "vilified"?

What about heterosexuals who do the same thing? What's their excuse for their choices and corresponding actions?

The truth is, certain people, gay or straight, will seek out sex with strangers of the same mindset, despite the threat of sexual diseases, physical assault or legal consequences. The fact that AIDS continues to be a problem 20+ years after it was first detected demonstrates that those who go for casual, anonymous sex will not be deterred, and the thought that their actions can somehow be excused by "vilification" of homosexuality is laughable.

The current thinking is that it stems either from a genetic predisposition, or, if not in-born, then it is decided very early in development (certainly before the time of our first memories).

As to him being a Republican, there are plenty of gay Republicans, including some sitting House members. They prefer to keep their sexuality private, but some liberal activists are intent on outing them if they don't adhere to the "right" gay policies.

Nah, wouldn't work. Its not about "loving committed sex".

The draw is casual sex in public places. There's a sub-culture that enjoys it and it runs across preference lines. The attraction is its forbidden nature, the chance of getting caught, and replaying your first sexual experiences (which is why heteros can engage in homosexual sex and vice versa, although neither side wants to admit that bisexuality exists.)

I just hope the "outing" campaign doesn't extend to gay conservatives who don't support the social conservative's agenda regarding gay rights.
