Great job. I installed a similar kit this weekend purchased from Wood Dash. Used most of the 43 pieces that came with kit. One area that I'm contemplating completing is the radio and compartment below radio. I'm like a lot of members, do not like all the static scratches on the plastic. This may be solution. However, didn't want to over do it. Colors in picture are pretty close to natural. Wood is Japanese cherry. Information for this wood kit can be found at http://www.wooddashexperts.com

I think youre right to have only thin strips of wood across the doors and the glove box
I would still like a kit which also covered the satin metal trim sides

    oooh very nice!

The thing is, the 2006+ Prius look better with the wood trim b/c of their dark grey interiors. It gives a more executive or business look. For the 04/05, we have a black dash for the beige interiors and a burgundy dash for those with the light grey interior.

I would also like to do the wood dash on my car. But I hesitate wondering if this stuff starts to peel off after a couple of years. Anyone have some input as to durability of this product? Also, while the pic's all look nice, does it actually look like wood in real life?

    Thanks
    Peggy

That's exactly what my car would look like with a kit on it. At least it would replace the area on the glove box doors where the paint has flaked off...

Oh wow... I haven't had my Prius that long to have any paint issues. So, the paint can/does flake off?
Gotta say this wood package, in its entirety, has really grown on me... I have to waffle in my position and admit that I am liking it! :)

I put a piece of rubber (it had a peel & stick) backing on it. I'm worried about the area by the windows myself. It's also painted.

On 04/05 cars, our glovebox and door panels are covered in some sort of paint. I had my glovebox button replaced twice because it was peeling/flaking.

I dont think I know another car with painted plastic dash and door trims
It's going to look pretty scratched after 10 years
