Have you tried Toyota Associated Products? http://toyotaap.com/a-prodlist.asp?category=Electrical
You need to know which you need: 1st gen Prius (#00213-00885) and 2nd gen (#00213-00889). It's pretty intuitive to figure out on the website. Good luck. Forgot to say that your dealer may have to order for you - I don't think you can buy from them directly.

It's not a "need". It's a "want". At any livable temperature the ICE is cold. Using the EBH gets the economy for the 1st 5 minutes way up over 25mpg which improves overall FE, especially for those who don't drive much.

Toyota probably just produced enough for expected purchases in Alaska and Minnesota. They weren't expecting a lot of sales in the lower 48.

Which is a thought -- you might try contacting dealers in those areas to see if they have any.

Well, speaking of the group buy, I saw the charge on my credit card. Where are they?

They're easy to find on the web. Found mine at my local dealer for $35. Not sure why ppl go through all this group buy hub-bub.

That's where I purchased mine also, not a bad price either.

Installed by the FireEngineer himself. :)

They actually called me back yesterday and said the old EBH has been discontinued.

The new part number is: 00213-00900

The guy said he didn't know why they discontinued it, but there was something they didn't like about it to make them change it. [I think he just wanted me to keep my order with him ;) ]

However, I actually received my EBH from PCshop yesterday, so I cancelled my order with him.

If anyone wants to order one of the new EBHs, he will have them in about two weeks [early October]. Anyone want to get the new one and volunteer to have it installed? :)

If someone desperately needs one, I can get quite a few from the only local Toyota dealer for $65 each. They said they had a lot in stock.

I assume that's $65 plus shipping from AK?

So if I have one that I haven't installed yet, and I'm willing to wait until more are available at the $39 price, I might be able to sell mine locally for about $70? Hey, that would just about pay for my new one. I'd essentially end up eventually with a "free" EBH? Very tempting.

Well, there's only one stealership in Anchorage, and no more within a 6 hour drive. People pay it. AK is stupid expensive.
