Can I start a New England local Prius club here?

These states all belong to the New England region and they are within driving distance of one another. I don't see the benefits nor needs to split them up into individual ones. Correct me if I am wrong.

    Let's exclude NY since that it has been started already.

    Besides, NY isn't a New England state even though we will let the secede with us as they voted for Kerry :) Don't know what plans you might have, or where you might want to meet. The 'middle', travel wise would probably be somewhere around Nashua maybe?

    Calling all New England Prius owners !!

    Now that you mentioned Kerry, am I right in assuming that 90% of Prius owners, who are more environmental than the usual public by nature, voted for Kerry? One cannot love the environment and at the same time love Bush's Kyoto Treaty policy, right? Or shall we not open this can of worms here?

    As for the location, Nashua is where I am at now, funny that you mentioned it. But I have Western Mass in mind initially as I believe there should be way more Prius owners in MA, CT, RI areas than ME, NH & VT. I am open for any suggestion. But how do we proceed from here?

    Calling all New England Prius owners!! Please post or PM me if you want to meet up.

    Hi DisneyDad, I think that our first meeting will have to be scheduled after they have delivered your Prius first, right? How certain is the Dec. delivery time? It is quite a X'mas present you got there for yourself.

    Areometer, the Dec. date is not in stone. i wish it was. It will be a Great Christmas Gift if it comes in by then. I'll keep my fingers crossed.

    As for when to have the first meeting? when ever, I'll show up when my new baby comes in.

    DisneyDad: Keep us posted on when they finally deliver your baby! Have you happened to read my other post regarding Wellesley Toyota & Jaffarian Toyota (in Haverhill) having used & new (respectively) Prius on their lots for immediate delivery? Maybe you can check them out too if your current dealership delays delivery further.

    tappel: Tom, I will feel sorry to make you drive down from VT. But then again we don't even have a definite meeting date / location yet.

    prius04: Actually, I will be heading your way (sort of) in 1 - 2 weeks time to have Hüper Optik ceramic-based tinted film installed on my Prius. The installer is in Westport, Mass. He claims to be the only authorized Hüper Optik dealer in N.E.

    Guys, shall we all migrate to the new N.E. forum? I already posted some interesting links there including a real-time Mass lowest & highest gas price meter.

    Areometer: Thanks for the heads up on the cars, they were all BC pkgs i'm waiting for a Silver AM pkg, i can't see spending 3k for items i don;t need. :)

    DisneyDad, Jaffarian Toyota is in Haverhill, Mass. Wow, they haven't sold any of the BC on their lot for a good 2 weeks & counting? Does everyone on the waiting list want non-BC packages only?

    I wasn't going for their HID headlights & GPS system either as I intended to GPS-equip my PocketPC phone so that I can use it in other vehicles. But now I am very glad that I got the factory GPS. Let me show you when you've time, you may change your mind. :evillaugh:

    Sorry folks, my bad. I didn't know how to grant access for you guys. I 'think' I just figured it out. Do I have to grant access every time someone signs onto this group (ie: daily)? Should I choose Open Group instead of Auto-Join Group?

    If I estimated correctly, there are 20 - 25 members signed up already! Cool, imagine this many Prii cruising on Newbury St. (just an example, of course).

    Keep it coming folks. And if some of you still can't get access to this local group, please voice out here. BTW, I am still waiting for Danny to reply me.

    FYI, I don't block any one's access unless someone is absolutely out of control. The last thing that I want to do is to play God. My main purpose is to get as many Prii in New England as possible to do some flash mob acts (j/k).
