I installed the Lockpic 3 and its working fine as far as my bluetooth and navigation, but I was wondering how it works with an IPOD? Do you connect the IPOD to the "AUX" connection in the console? I watched the video at Coastaltech and it he was watching a DVD that was loaded on the IPOD. Was that through the "AUX" connection?

The instructions weren't very helpful in that regard.

you can use the connection in the console (i think).... we have a chord that is hooked into something behind the dash (sorry.... i didn't do the install! hubby did!) and the chord runs under the carpet and comes up in the "secret" drawer)... the chord is one that has multiple plugs on the end that is behind the dash... and of course, the single plug for the ipod in the drawer!

if noone else answers.... i'll check with hubby to see where he hooked that chord up!

we listen/watch via the "dvd" when you hit the cd botton....

well, if you installed the Ultimate Lockpick 3, then you should have an A/V cable to connect to either a DVD player or a video iPod. You cannot play videos on the MFD using the factory installed AUX connection. If you want to play music using your iPod, you can either use the AUX connection or the A/V connection via the lockpick.

    Hope this helps.

If you plug your ipod into the Lockpick... do the titles/artists then show up on the MFD?

(Because they don't if you use the AUX port)

They're talking about a video connection, not an audio connection.

No, the lockpick kits can't display artist/song info.

since the cord is there... rather than have 2 cords in the car.... i use that for audio also... but no... it still doesn't show any info :( (i've become quite the little podcast fanatic since getting the prius and being able to use my ipod in my car!)
