    John,

Please Post a pic of your wheels w/o the plastic covers. I am considering doing the same and would like to look at the finished product.

Nice ride! Question or just tossing this out there...I thought with the airbags in the car seat, you had to have special seat covers that allow the air bags to deploy. Was that the same in your Jetta? I read some where if the seat covers were not made with this in mind, if you had an accident.....SOL  . I hope that is not the case for you!!

    Thanks!
Yes, that was part of them being custom made. That was part of the form we had to fill out. They are cut close to the face of the seat on the edge and the seam that the air bag is under is right at the edge of the seat cover..Looks pretty nice and hopefully we won't have to ever try it out.. :(
    Sure was tickled they fit..

    John,

$44.00 (plus shipping) seems to me a little steep for the center hubs (are they plastic?)...

Hey! Just picked my 08 T/#06 up Friday. I can't seem to create an account at the parts site, though. :(

I like the look--will the wheels chip and rust?

Thanks for that. I didn't know either! btw, I'm assuming a carriage-return = Enter right?

Well, I have a Barcelona red touring too! (2007) and bought the center caps about 6mos after we had the car. As far as chipping and rusting, one thing I noticed is that removing and replacing the wheel covers is BAD for the rims! it scratches the paint off. But, they are aluminum so they won't rust. BUT, if you have a close encounter with a curb you will scratch them, where the wheel covers might have fully protected them!
So, you have to balance esthetics w/ parking ability.

Okay--I'll slip a rag in between the implement and the wheel.

Yiikes! Looks like parallel parking is OUT!! LOL I think the plastic covers would scratch (and perhaps break off) as well, so it's a push.

Thanks, Jonas. I've managed to order my centers.
I've had my Prius 3 days. I don't miss my truck yet....

Set of 4. Depending on the quality it seems reasonable, considering availability. I'll let you know.

I appreciate your thoughtfullness in trying to solve the problem, but the problem is with the wheel cover attachments themselves, so you can't put anything in between the tabs that actually apply firction that keep the wheel covers on! But, if your getting center caps (which I now have and like) then you will take the wheel covers off one last time and it will be a non-issue.
