As a new Prius owner (2008 pkg #5) and and happy Tundra owner (2002 4fwd limited) I was disapointed that the Prius does not have the double sun visor (one to flip down and the other swings) which my Tundra does have. When changing directions this feature keeps me from having to swing a single visor from side to front and back again as I drive.

It seems like such a simple thing, that someone must have designed on to fit the Prius, but I cannot find one to purchase anywhere.

If anyone knows of a supplier, I would be most appreciative.

If any suppliers are looking for a new product idea, you have a ready customer here....

I downgraded my visor situation from a Buick Regal with a sliding extender to the Prius.
    I feel your pain.

How can you live with that?
How about a set of tinted wind deflectors? Should help some.

I have been thinking about various options and those were included. However, I have never cared for the look, and I don't drive with the window open a samll amount because of the noise. If the sun angle is low enough, they might not do the trick anyway.

I am also thinking about dark window tinting on the side tindows but have to check out the legal stuff here in Idaho.

I guess another option would be some kind of pull down shade for the drivers side window.

A properly made double sun visor for the Prius would just be a much better solution.... (sigh)

Unfortunately Sunglasses won't help that uncomfortable feeling of the sun beating down on the side of your face and neck.

I miss the extending visor that was on my GMC Sonoma, especially when driving north/south, and the second smaller sunshade.

I have been thinking that some sort of attachment using Velcro might be possible to extend the shade when it is pushed to the side, but that won't solve the issue of the missing second visor.

I would like a swinging visor like I had in my PT Cruiser. I could swing my visor to the left and pull it out to make it longer across the driver's side window. I am bothered by the sun coming in the driver's side window. I am getting tinting this week but doubt that will totally solve the problem. I wish I could find one that fit. There are only two screws so it would be easy to remove the one that is on the Prius.

The 4Runner has the double visor you speak of. Too bad it couldn't be retrofitted into the Prius.

All this talk and no real solutions? Come on guys, can't anyone find out if a sun visor with an extension from another car would fit our 2nd gens?

Not sure how good they are, but there are visor extender attachments all over amazon/ebay.

edit: The 2012+ camry visors look similar in shape, but need to check dimensions/wiring.
