looking for touring model in PA

    Hello All!
    I am ready to buy my first Toyota Prius! After reading the posts here at priuschat I have decided that the touring model suits my needs best but I cannot find one here in PA. Does anyone know if they are available in this state? I will be traveling to FL in December and I think they have them there, but that's a long drive to have to go down with one car and come back with two. Are there any places closer to me that might have the touring model? In case it matters, I think I want a green one with package 3 or 4.

    According to the computer Motorworld in Wilkes Barre has a few of them, but not sure how updated or accurate it is

    Thanks for the info! How did you find that on the computer? Is there a particular site I could go to to find a touring model in MD or elsewhere in PA, too?

    go to www.toyota.com and go to build your own

    I just saw your from York, Pa. my son lives there he deals with Hanover Toyota to get his Camry serviced and has been happy with them. They can trade with any other dealer to get you a touring model.

    Thanks for the info. Good to know there are some decent dealers out there. Pittsburgh is 4 hours from me, but if I have to I'll check there, too. Maybe a dealer here could get one for me from there.

    I was having the same trouble in California. :( I wanted the Touring Prius with pkg #3. I talked with several dealers and got nothing but BS and no good info. I contacted another dealer today and told him what I wanted and I wasn't going to settle for anything else. He checked and the only Touring Prius they send to CA is with pkg #6, which I didn't want. I don't want the leather or the GPS. What I want is available in Oregon, but then I'm not getting the CA emission stuff, plus I don't want an out of state car. So, the dealer is ordering me exactly what I want and it will come from Japan and it will take 90 to 120 days. If other dealers had told me I could do that, it would have been ordered two months ago. If you are not in a hurry for your car you can do the same thing. It doesn't cost anything extra. Just takes a little time, but at least you get what you want. Now I'm keeping my fingers crossed that the transaction goes smoothly and they don't lose my order or something equally as bad.
