I'm with you there. Let's make sure that the younger among us never forget what it took to have the rights we have today. And let's do our best to make sure that they don't have to go off to war.

Yep, we are in the era of "Big Government Republicans" who simply want government to spend money on THEIR projects rather than the other guy's projects. They all give lip service to President Reagan, but they are closer to President Nixon in terms of economic policy.

Whats wrong with looking at the world through rose colored glasses. Maybe thats the way it should be viewed, maybe if it was viewed that way we wouldn't be in the predicaments we are in right now eh?. Age has nothing to do with anything(IMO). But then again i am 20 .

There just so happenes to be a Ron Paul meetup today in my local town :D . I am very surprised and will probably attend to gauge people's opinion. Im generaly not an out spoken type of guy and like i said before, i dont think ron paul will win, and even if he did win he would follow the same path as every other president who tried to get rid of the Federal Reserve System and get assassinated :( (Abraham Lincoln / James Garfield / William McKinley / John Kennedy ) - all assassinated presidents. Actualy kennedy did pass a bill allowing the us to print its own money "Executive Order 11110 gave the U.S. the ability to create its own money backed by silver..." , but he was assassinated 5 months later.

If i do attend ill let you guys know what the minds of the people were like at the meeting.

www.wikipedia.org - "...The Reserve Banks opened for business on November 16th, 1914. Federal Reserve Notes were created as part of the legislation, to provide a supply of currency..."

Heres the thing. America has the power to create her own money, the fact that we are taking this money and paying interest on it to private banks is none sense.

    - During the Civil War (from 1861-1865), President Lincoln needed money to finance the War from the North. The Bankers were going to charge him 24% to 36% interest. Lincoln was horrified and went away greatly distressed, for he was a man of principle and would not think of plunging his beloved country into a debt that the country would find impossible to pay back.

The bankers were acting just like lobbiest in that time, it was them and only them who needed or wanted this bill passed, we were doing fine without it., WE had The National Banking Act that had earlier replaced the Greenback Law. If we had kept those earlier two acts we would be a debt free nation http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/National_Banking_Act

Libertarians believe and are behind the Bush philosophy that Global Warming is a hoax.Do you support that?
They also are behind the push for privatization (meaning destruction) of Social Security.
Much of what they stand for sounds great until you realize they basically only want freedom for the corporation.

Come on guys. A Libertarian is hardly a Republican (or Democrat).

I see it more like this:

Democrats want to control your wallet
Republicans want to control your soul

Libertarians don't want others taking either away from you.

And when you compare a "new democrat" to a "compassionate conservative" you find that they are madly scrambling to be one and the same!

BTW - I (a Libertarian) believe in God and I have no desire to smoke dope. There is no contradiction.

Campaign Fund Used To Test Stolen Credit Cards

(CBS 11 News) CROWLEY Officials say thieves used a presidential campaign to rip people off.

Christine Horton of Crowley said her account was charged several times to support Republican presidential candidate Ron Paul.

"I had never even heard of him," she said. "I was like, 'Oh my God! Someone is stealing from me."

Monday the Paul campaign made history. They raised more than $4 million online in 24 hours from more than 36,000 contributors.

Frost Bank investigators discovered overseas thieves used Paul's Web site to test stolen cards with $5 contributions.

Five hundred credit card numbers were stolen from Frost Bank, but fraud management teams spotted the unauthorized charges and notified customers immediately.

The bank refunded money from nearly 100 customers and canceled all 500 credit cards.

"He's getting money, stolen money," said Horton. "Whether he's affiliated with it or not, I have no clue. But it's too fishy."

I actually got this sent to me yesterday....

A ''Democrat'' is a ''Communist'' that votes.
A "Republican'' is a ''Democrat'' thats been robbed.
A ''Libertarian'' is a ''Republican'' thats been arrested.
An "Anarchist'' is a ''Libertarian'' that was arrested by the guy that robbed him

    Funny stuff.

    Not good.

But I'm sure all of the other parties use nothing but "clean" money (from Nuns?)!

All parties struggle to keep their campaigns clean.
