I've got 20,000 miles on my factory tires and am thinking about new tires.

The Bridgestone B831 Tire has a low rolling restance. The problem I see is that it's not available for my 2006 Prius since my car has the Goodyear 185/65SR15 tires on it. The Bridgestone B831 is apparently available as 185/70SR14.

The OD is almost the same - Bridgestone 24.3" and Goodyear 24.4".
Weight is close too - Bridgestone 16lbs and Goodyear 17lbs.

What if I bought 14" wheels for the Bridgestones to be used on my Prius? Would it work? Anyone know of a light weight wheel that would work on the 2006 Prius? Anyone have any thoughts about this?

I don't think you would want to go down in wheel size. The larger the wheel the better the handling characteristics of the car. Plus the 14" wheels only usually have 4 lug nuts which will not fit the 5-100 lugnuts on the 2nd generation Prius. Your best bet would probably be to stick with 15" wheels or upgrade to 16" wheels. There are other low rolling resistance tires out there made by Continental or Nokian that fit the 15" wheels.

As far as lightweight wheels check out the Enkei RS-M wheels the 15" wheels weigh14lbs., same as stock wheels and the 16" wheels weigh 14.8 lbs. The stock Prius wheel is actually a very lightweight wheel compared to most wheels.

Yes, I just found that out. I did find a wheel at the Tire Rack for the Bridgestone tire that weighs in at 9.3lbs but as you stated, the lug pattern is different. I'm looking for a low rolling restant tire that does not weigh more than the stock tire. I haven't found one yet.
