I was tinkering on the Toyota Japan website for the Prius www.toyota.jp/prius and found some interesting stuff they have in Japan. Which include turn signals built into the mirrors, an OEM fitted leather steering wheel, and auto tilting rear view mirrors while backing. I really like the steering wheel and tilting mirror. I already emailed japanparts.com for a quote and to see if they can get it. Don't ask me what any of it says I just started clicking on links to see if I could find anything cool. There were a few other items that looked pretty cool too, but without being able to read what it says I can only speculate as to waht they actually do or are for.

I would like to know more about the leather fitted steering wheel. How would one going about finding out about this? It's for, you know, a friend.

(I'm just afraid that if word gets out that I have a leather steering wheel, Cameron Diaz and Alicia Silverstone might not want to date me anymore)

ooh, the auto-tilting mirrors when reversing would be really nice, especially because of the somewhat limited rear visibility. my boyfriend's car has one on the passenger side and it's supposed to help a lot when parallel parking.

Hi Speedracer, I understand that there is this stock (short) spoiler as well as an extended spoiler available for the Prius, I wonder which one is Type A & which one is Type B. Would you happen to have the SKU# for the extended one?

    Thanks in advance.

You are asking about rear hatch spoiler correct?
I have large spoiler because I order with Touring Pkg. I have to ask about part number.

Yes the hatch spoiler, I got the short US one, but I want the extended one: http://priuschat.com/forums/album_pic.php?pic_id=429

Either a P/N or the Type (A or B) will be fine. Thanks a lot.

I can import the Rear Spoiler B Type (extended) if there's enough response here. They don't come in unpainted so you must specify your color code. Should I start a group-buy on exterior Prius body parts? It goes well w/ the front under spoiler, side skirt set, rear under spoiler, etc.

    Let me know.

I would like to find the little antenna like thing that mounts on the side of the bumper and rises and lowers like an electric antenna when needed as a parking guide.

I also saw this on a Toyota Japan site and want to know how to get one.

    Thanks,

    Tisza

Are there any pictures of these things? If the Touring spoiler is extended, just exactly wat does that mean and how much more extended is it compared to the standard one?

And are there pictures of a Prius fitted with the front under spoiler, side skirt set, rear under spoiler, etc.?

I am very interested in the auto-tilting side mirrors. Parallel parking the Prius is painful.

Yeah, I hear ya. I need the auto-tilt feature myself very badly too. But does the module tilt both mirrors and tilt them 'properly'?! Remember that Japan drives on the other side. May be Nate or SpeedRacer can chime in?
