It's pretty unlikely that anyone will remember to e-mail you when the next group buy goes up. You'll need to stay active on the site, or at least check in once in a while, for the next sale/group buy.

Wayne, if you are looking for scenery, I live near Wasilla in Alaska. We have some pretty good scenery around here if you want to come this far west. I have a 2002 Prius that needs a block heater. I'm trying to figure out if this group buy EBH will work for a 2002.

With the group buy you specify your model year and the proper heater is sent. To late for Alaska....this year.

It's still as beautiful, just with more people. We had our first snow of the season this morning, so it will be roller derby time on the roads as people remember how to drive in it, but I don't think it will stay. The tire shops will be backed up with the folks who want their studs on at the first sign of white. Time to put the skis back by the door. As always, I still have a few things in the yard I need to locate and put away, but I've got most of it picked up. And pretty soon, my Prius won't be as stealthy either, when I switch to my winter boots.

    My 1st post!!! :)

    I want one too.
I drive 10 miles in each direction to work.
I have a Driftwood Pearl 2008 Prius Touring p#6 bought on Sep 19 2007 (anyone knows about the tax credit for me?)

From what I read it seems like I would get a big mpg benefit from an EBH because my trips are short.

I currently (after about 360 miles) average (MFD, still on 1st tank...) 44.6mpg which isn't bad, though if I could have the yellow bars as high in the 1st 5 minutes as the rest, I would probably have a much better mileage.

    Are the above assumptions correct?

So, is there another group sale? Anyone else interested?
Anyone installing those in Colorado (Boulder)?

I'd like in too. Just got winter tires after moving our baby from Los Angeles to the Twin Cities. She needs a block heater to keep her warm too.

On the tax credit issue, I think the 25% expired after 9/30/07, so I think you're safe.

I change my mind, I want a EBH too! I'm planning on using a external battery + inverter to power the sucker while at the office. Any ETA on the 2nd group buy?

Hmm... Interesting idea. How many watts would be needed? Which battery do you intend on using?
Would some kind of computer UPS work or is that too weak?

Well it seems that the EBH is rated at 400Watt. Thats all I know. Being in SoCal, I wonder if 1/2hr of warming would be enough. We'll see.

Looks like the EBH is back in stock at the shop ($59).

Someone else posted another source ($49).

I wonder if Danny plans on having another group buy this year. I would prefer buying it from him to help support the site. I also hope he brings back Google Checkout. I definitely won't be purchasing it via paypal or check/money order.

Is the Prius shop price delivered?
