I'll answer the thread title question. If you travel more than 10 miles per trip. yes.

I use 4.3 litres per 100 kilometres which is a little over a gallon for every 60 miles.

Prius has a very high satisfaction rating.

While the price of automatic transmission repairs goes up the price of Prius batteries is coming down and they are very reliable.

I had an M35 which I traded for the Prius and do not regret the decision one iota. I got about 47mpg on the very first tank and am getting 48mpg on the second one with all city driving. It is a very well made car and very economical for driving! Pics of the old car and new car

I love the blue color on your Prius. Nice choice.

I have a Lexus SC430 that just sits in the garage. I love speed, refinement, sound system, and open roof when I want to. That's why I bought it. But I never thought I'd be more excited on the Prius, to tell you the truth. Months have passed by already since owning the Prius and I am still excited everytime I drive it. Maybe the MFD has something to do with it...it's like playing games everytime you drive it and you're trying to beat your previous MPG record!

I've always calculated my MPGs on all the cars I've had by zeroing the odometer and computing the gallons used. Always. I get about 20.5 MPG average on my Lexus. So you can see that I have this peculiar personality about maximizing MPGs. I baby the engine some days, other days, I just floor it all day when the need for speed kicks in.

Bottomline is search your personality. If you get a thrill out of maximizing stuff, then buying a Prius will make you happy. If you're like me, buy the Prius and keep the G35 for "those days" when you want to stir your soul. Or, you can sell the G35, and rent a G35 or Shelby Mustang from Hertz from time to time.

Try the Touring Edition then. It has a "Euro-tuned" suspension. I have no idea what it is since I've yet to try a Touring model but reading the posts by those who have tested both models, most of them were leaning towards the Touring model.
