Wheelmax.com lists these wheels for the Corolla. In theory they should work for the Prius.

Does anyone know enough about wheel dimensions to determine whether they would work on the Prius?

I am considering an extra set for snow tires, and these look to be even cheaper (64 USD each) than a set of steelies.

I like the rims. As long as the bolt pattern is 5x100 you are fine. Those come in that bolt pattern so no worries. Wheel offset is 40mm which concerns me as far as rubbing the fender well when turning since there is not a lot of gap between the tire and fenderwell. But 2mm may not do anything at all. Just make sure you get 185/65R15 tires so fuel economy won't suffer.

Would it be practical and safe to mount them with 3-5 mm washers to correct the offset?

Using an actual spacer block (or having one made if you can't find one) would be a much safer choice, but you're on the right track!

Are spacer blocks easily available, or does one go to a machine shop to get a set made?

They're quite easy to find. You'd likely find them at a Kragen or perhaps a custom shop that stocks parts for older automobiles and/or race parts ("Vic Hubbard" Auto Supply comes to mind); I've seen them on countless 1960s Mustangs (a hobby), for example. Also, I need advice on this upgrade idea:

Exel GT-S Wheels Photoshopped onto my Black Prius
What do you think of the look? Is this an improvement over the stock wheels?

Note: the beauty rims have since been removed.

The same Prius, same photo, with GT-S wheels added digitally. Suggestions? Comments?

Thanks for any and all advice!

    1. Thanks for the info. I am set to go if I decide on snow tires and wheels.

    2. Totally subjective: I don't like 'em. Too spindly, and the curved-in look does not appeal to me.

Yeah I'm a little worried about the curvy-inward look. I just took the beauty rims off my car and that's created a better-enough look to forgo buying new wheels for the time being.

I'll photoshop in the nexo wheels you're talking about and we'll see how they look.

I like those better, similar to what I am considering, except I am going for straight black.

Regarding my opinion, keep in mind my tastes. I put Moon Disks on my car for shows.

I like Option #2. I saw a black Prius with chrome wheels the other day and it just looked...wrong.

That is a good looking wheel; the price seems good too. Did it provide a wheel weight? Just wondering how they compare to the Ray's Gram Lite wheel in 17".
