That's probably a good thing. They can't punch you back, either.

I started browsing from my laptop without logging in. I was looking at BT Tech's new thread and got down to a post with a jpg attached. Not being logged in when I clicked it, I was asked to log in. I did and was asked to log in. This time I checked "Remember me" but again I was asked to log in.

I finally went back to priuschat.com and logged in, then went back and started reading the thread from the top and saw the thumb-nail pic. I clicked it and was asked to log in.

I just went on, the pic isn't that interesting.

    end of search

So after I got logged in to PriusChat, it said I had 11 pages on new posts. It's a slow evening so I read the posts I was interested in and moved to the next page, continuing. I finished reading stuff on page 4 and clicked 5 to see what was there. Instead, I got:

    vBulletin Message
Sorry - no matches. Please try some different terms.

Weird. So I backed up to page 4 and tried the next page >. Same message. Backup, Last page. Same message.

PC was reporting 11 pages, but vB could only traverse the first 4 pages. Is some table size set too small?

wow!!... didnt think this would be 25 pages long... forgive me if this is a duplicate request, but it would be nice if you required people to put in car make model and year. many posts are based on that info and most dont add it in frequently making a post just to ask necessary.

Godiva, use FF, it has spell checker built into it. works for all text in any application

I am unable to look at the Prius Technical forum. I have AOL, and can get into all of the other forums in the first group, but not the Technical forum. My browser says it can't find the link. (This is Saturday, Dec 8, 2007, and the same thing happened to me yesterday) CraigCSJ

Bill, I think this has been reported. It happens when threads have been removed by the Mods. The rash of spam posts this week have resulted in several removals.

I've noticed this too, and not just with pictures. Posts and PMs have mysteriously vanished several times. It's happened to me at different times from different computers, most recently last night and again this morning. I've reported it both in this thread and in a PM to Danny, so I'll shut up now.

I won't quote you because I want ALL of you to go away when you are banned. But wow! Thanks for opening my eyes to all the terrible things that high-mileage cars do to our planet. Consider me converted.

My, my what limited English vocabulary some people use to express their feelings! I appreciate how squeaky clean Priuschat has been kept. Looks like it's time for another bath.

Like Hiyo and Bill (I think) I am having some trouble with logging in and staying logged in. I've had to reset my password a couple of times but I'm not sure if that's my fault or not. I'll let you know if it continues. I'm wondering about the timeout issues. When I leave the computer to walk the dog I find that I've been logged out by the time I get back. I never got booted off the old system.

    Spell Check

No response to my complaint of spell check not working. Is nobody using it, does nobody care or is it just me that is having the problem?

    Danny,

Is there any way that you (PC Administration) can change all the inadvertantly imported "Log In" names back to their "Display Names"?

I think that would be better for two reasons:

    1. The breach of privacy issue I previously mentioned (the revealing of many Members' real names).

    2. Members cannot easily do "exact name" searches of a Member whose Log In name was inadvertantly imported because we never knew that Member's Log In name before ... only his or her Display Name.

    Thanks.

That is the way it should have been posted. Golly, I'm sure he meant that, don't you?

You beat me to it. I will add that I do not like the new smilies. I liked the old ones. The new ones are far too "cutesy" for my taste. I do like Wildkow's dancing banana, though.

Does this mean your Rav4EV is for sale really cheap now??? :D

Everyone but you is using Firefox. :)

    Suggestion

So us newbies don't post in the wrong place--perhaps have the subject threads on the first page. This way we see that if we want to know about Dealer & Price to click that forum, etc. Unbeknowst to us, we think the main forum is where you post questions.

    Thanks.

I went to use spell check this AM and it asked if I wanted to download it. I said yes, a new window popped up with 5 choices to download it from. I chose CNET, it took me to their site. Clicked on download. Anti-virus complained as usual, clicked a million "yes I really want to download, install, run. etc.". After all that it was ready to use. Clicked back to reply box and MY WHOLE REPLY WAS GONE. Had to start typing all over again, but it does work now. If your anti-virus is not set up to show a pop-up box when something is blocked, then that is what may be happening. So yes, somebody does care.:D
