You can, just click "Search this thread" at the top right. You might have to be logged-in to use this feature.

    Keys

Today I learned that a spare key would cost me $286. I think this is ludicrous
does anyone know of a more reasonably priced way to get a key?

You're right... vBulletin SHOULD be able to get you a cheaper key. Danny, can you fix that?...
p.s. Welcome to Priuschat, Marlys :D

    Danny,

I'm getting different threads depending on whether I log on, for example, the "modifications" threads from the PriusChat Forums, or from the Toyota Prius Forums. If you'll look at the thread, "hay rangerdavid" i posted a reply but it only shows up if i log on from the PriusChat Forums page. If I go to the Toyota Prius page, my last post doesn't show up.

just thought you'd like to know. other than a few bugs, I really like the new look and software!! Congrats on the site, and the recent surge in publicity! nice........

Maybe I am missing an option somewhere but I actually looked (and even read the FAQs) and I cant find it.
I liked having the news forum appear first and I see that is a shortcut that you still want to add back. (When?)

But there is a basic display feature that I cant find. If I want to see posts sorted by creation date, (IE a news forum) instead of by date of last post, there is no option for this. I am less interested in knowing the latest reply of an old news item from 1 month ago - in fact most of the top 'latest replys' on the news forum are to old threads. Is there a way to sort by newest to oldest thread creation date?

In general the site is much faster and seems more stable. - thanks

Marlys, what Ichabod was politely hinting is that this thread is not the place to post your question. Therefore, you're not too likely to get an answer -- folks aren't looking here to ask or answer key fob questions.

You might first try searching PriusChat for your answer. I'm almost certain it's been asked before.

    Welcome to PriusChat, BTW!

    Problem

Danny, something is different about the Technical Forum, as I am not able to access it from my AOL browser, whereas I am able to access the other forums. When I click on Technical, time elapses and my browser says it cannot locate the web page. I also reported this several days ago, but it has not improved.

    Log-in too complex

    HI~
I just had to get a new password and it took several tries to make it work. Then I discovered my user name was case sensitive. The site is like Fort Knox. Since nobody's personal identity can get stolen, why do you make logging in necessary or so cumbersome? If I were an advertiser, I'd rather you offer free access.

This is happening not only with the forum index, but with the display of the individual thread. I have to click "Refresh" to see the new posts on every thread.

Even though logged-in, I am not being allowed to edit my "edit options" in my "Control Panel."

When I click on "edit options" it asks for me to log-in . . . even though I am . . . and when I try, it loops back and asks again.

    OK, WHAT'S UP . . . AM I SECRETIVELY BANNED OR SOMETHING?????

    1) I CAN log-on.
    2) I CAN'T make changes in my "Edit Options."
    3) I CAN go through the motions of posting . . . but now that I look, the two posts I did today are gone.

    'Sup wih dat?????

UPDATE: OK . . . NOW is see my post #351, but it wasn't there for me before. Weirdness is happen'.

MORE UPDATE: The reason I wanted to edit options was for troubleshooting. I have my view number of posts set at "40."

In the "The Previous Poster" Insults Game I posted #41, but wasn't shown an option at either the top or bottom of page 1 to advance beyond the first page of 40 if I clicked on the name of the thread, or the link for page #1. This was a result of navigating there from the
[IMG] [IMG] "The Previous Poster" Insults Game ([IMG] 1 2) link on the "Threads in Forum : Fred's House of Pancakes" page . . . BUT, if I click on the page #2 link, I am sent to a page #2 . . . BUT ONLY A PARTIAL PAGE #2 . . . I am only shown posts 41 through 48. EVEN THOUGH THERE ARE MORE POSTS!!!!

Along with this partial page 2 is the page navigation box at the top and bottom of the posts showing
    Page 2 of 2 < 1 2 [IMG]

If I click on the down arrow and type in the number 3, I am presented with a page three showing posts #81-83, and a page navigation bar of
    Page 3 of 3 < 12 3 [IMG]

    WHERE ARE POSTS 49 - 80????

UPDATE: 12/16/07 - Everything seems to be back to normal.

well, now it's back to the usual. i can click on the "new posts in this thread" button and get new posts, but clicking on the thread title gets me an older version of the thread without the new replies. i tried clearing my cookies for this site only and that did not fix the problem. so i'll just use the new posts button instead.

This new BB utility is absolutely brain-dead about keeping track of (1) the time and (2) which posts have been read. Sheesh. It's enough to make me go back to
    http://priusonline.com

P.S.: and it still doesn't allow deleting posts, and the speed of the underlying server still sucks; thus the charming feature of duplicate posts, such as this one.

    Welcome to PriusChat JSWalden!

Unfortunately, for your first post, you happened to post it in a thread DANNY set up for bug reports/gripes/likes/dislikes REGARDING THE RECENT PRIUSCHAT BOARD SOFTWARE UPGRADE.

Being your first post, I can see why you posted here. First Danny welcomed you with a "Welcome to the new PriusChat forums!" . . . then says to you Please post your bug reports/gripes/likes/dislikes here!
From your point of view, it couldn't have been more clear. BUT, if you want help with poor gas mileage, you may wish to mosey around the Fuel Economy or Main Prius Forum. :)
