I just came back from a trip to Western Pennsylvania and Eastern Ohio. I put over 600 miles on the rental car and never saw one single prius - classic or '04.

But I'm back home and glad to be back with Dyna (that's what I named her) and today on my lunch break I was turning on to Beverly Blvd. by The Grove in Los Angeles and I saw another Tideland Pearl coming in the opposite direction! "Man," I thought, "that's a hot looking car!"

Not too many Prii here in W.Pa. but they are coming. Erie has a few of the Classics. I travel to Cleveland quite often and I do not see many there. I know my dealer has several on order so it won't be long......

Trip to AZ had a plenty

I've seen quite a few here in SoCal.

On Dec 21st, driving to/from the Inland Empire, I saw 3 - 2 going to my desitionation going the opposite direction on the freeway, and 1 on the way back (recognized the headlight pattern at night).

Driving out to Arizona on Dec 23rd, I passed two going the opposite way, and had one following me for a few miles near Palm Springs. Never saw any in AZ though.

Driving back from AZ on the 28th, I had a Seaside BC (HID lights) with New Mexico plates pass me near Cabazon on the I-10 west.

I spot them occasionally driving to/from work as well on the I-5 in the Irvine area, and have spotted two in my home city. They're arround, and their numbers are growing :)

    I have seen three.

The first one was a Driftwood Pearl from Fremont Toyota CA, I went home late that day and ended up driving beside her in Pleasanton CA.

Second was on Thanksgiving Day, I believe it was a Silver one, it was driving behind the Claremont in Berkeley

The third was today as I was driving back to work after lunch in Pleasanton CA. It was also a Driftwood Pearl. I recognized the headlights. It was waiting for a light.

I cant wait to get mine.

A silver one on campus at UCI (I honked and surprised her)
A white one in the parking lot at Stater Bros on Newport Blvd

This afternoon I went out to send off a package and I parked on Beverly Blvd. near La Cienega and when I pulled into the spot and looked in the rear view I noticed it was a Salsa Red! There we were, to '04 parked together!

The other car had some chrome wheel upgrades and it looked pretty nice. It was purchased from Toyota of Hollywood. I was hoping that the other driver would notice me, but when I was done with my errand, they were still there.

Saw my first 04 Salsa Red Prius in the wild on the 13th in Houston, Texas at the corner of Richmond and Beltway 8. I was going to lunch with my boss so I pointed it out to him. The Prius pulled onto the beltway and accelerated quite briskly away as I waited at the light. It was a lovely and bueatiful sight since I can't get one until the '05's come out.

I have seen every color in the wild but have not seen mine yet :( I too think that Tideland looks gray to me. It has been two months since we ordered ours and have another two months to go. :( I really hope its not that long.

I am tooling around in a tideland TRAC car for a few more days... Carson Toyota plate frames, between Orange County (Laguna) and Carson, and beyond! I get my SUV back middle of next week... I am using the TRAC 'cause I need the hauling space (yeah right, my poor Camry's so neglected)....

    Prius in blackout

I have yet to see a Prius in the wild within a 50 mile radius of where I live in PA, but had the opprotunity to see a few when I visited San Francisco. I was driving north on 19th Ave... when I noticed the street lights went out... then all the lights went out. I thought about how cool it would be driving a Prius then. Bumper to bumper traffic, and you can have a real stealth mode with the lights off. 8)

Not seen in the wild, but there was a prominant display of the Prius at a car show in the new movie version of Goodbye Girl seen on tv last night. It looked great.

    Re: Prius in blackout

I am in South Eastern PA and own a 2004 Silver Prius, and I saw another Silver Prius last week heading in the opposite direction. Wow, what a nice looking car!

Went to Detroit and back and never saw another 2004, though we did park next to a silver Classic at the Auto Show lot. Talked to a Detroit area dealer at the Toyota display area and he had only recieved 2 and was discouraged that the wait was now 6+ months before he could get any more. He could not believe that I got mine after a 2 week wait! :D

I went to vote this morning before work. As I parked and walked up to the rec. center in a residential neighborhood, I saw a white 04 right in front, and a black 04 a little ways up the block.

When I came out, both were gone.

I saw a beautiful blue Prius parked in front of my house; got excited until I realized it was MY Prius, then I got very excited......
The day I got mine, I was on Capitol Hill in Seattle, at night, trying to find parking. I got to an intersection of two narrow streets, and Lo, there was another 04 waiting for me to turn left.
Lots of classic Prii here in eco city, and a growing population of 04 Prii. It's exciting to see what looks like a grass roots rebellion. Meanwhile my hubby is filling our garage with cooking oil containers as he makes his own revolution in bio diesel.

A week or so ago I saw a a silver 04 (I was ata stoplight it was coming towards me turning to its left). This is the 2nd one I saw including the TRAC at the dealership.

I passed a classic a few days after that.

I say a car carrier with some Toyota SUV on it heading west on the interstate, which would be the correct direction to the dealership where I have my Prius ordered. I didn't get a really good look at the other cars it was carrying, I don't THINK it had a Prius on it (and I don't even know if WAS heading for my dealership)

I'm paying MUCH more attention to car carriers now :D

A Salsa Red was parked a few houses down last Sunday. It was still there Monday morning. I didn't see it last night, so maybe it just spent the night at the neighbor's house. I thought it would have been cool to have multiple Prii living on our street.
