Oh, the interior dash (green) lights don't have to go, but it would be nice if we could switch to WHITE or RED.

The center arm fabric is too thin, it must be thicker.

Toyota are you hearing me? :) We should get paid for all these suggestions! ?

I wish the bar graph on the fuel consumption screen had different number demarcations. It has 0, 25, 50, 75, and 100. It would be much easier to interpret the graph at a glance if the numbers were 0, 20, 40, 60, 80, 100.

I second the center console armrest fabric being too cheap. Some extra seat fabric would be fine. Also the rear seat arm rest is not horizontal when in use, they should fix that.

I have Verizon wireless and it works fine in my Bluetooth enabled Prius. My biggest issue with my Prius is that deer love to run into it (see my other post).

The climate control interface. It's horrible. I can't believe something this poorly thought out got out of Toyota's QA (or QC) department.

You have to push a button on the MFD just to get to the main control screen - can't this somehow be made accessible outside the MFD? You can't adjust the temperature unless the fan is on yet the temperature setting affects the air intake even when the fan is off. The front windshield defroster button on the steering wheel doesn't operate as a toggle for some inexplicable reason. Very clunky design.

Allow for software upgrades and more user tweaks without replacing components!
Example 1: I think the outside temp is calculated in degrees C and then converted to degrees F. The result is degrees F numbers that in certain places change be two degree increments.

Example 2: Allow third party mechanics to work on the car easier by allowing more system adjustments without the magic "box". Anyone getting a front end alignment needs to go back to toyota to reset the steering sytem.

Have the option of getting rid of the cd player altogether and instead have some sort of factory-installed DICE unit so I could just plug in my iPod.

Um, when I push that button, the defroster turns on. Push it again, it turns off. I'm not sure why your's isn't doing the same.

My Prius would be perfect if I could only have the 6-way power seat I had in my Taurus wagon. That was the best part of that car.

If I want my temperature up or down I do it with the buttons on the steering wheel. Auto air on then adjust temp up and down. Warm air normally comes out at your feet and cool at face just how I like it.

If I want air off and fan on there is a little messing about but not insurmountable.

If just one - Better front seats - more adjustable (specifically height adjustable and seat bottom angle adjustable) and more heavily bolstered front seats would make the driving experience much more enjoyable.
If two - A bit more room in back - 1/2"-1" more headroom for taller people and 1-2" more shoulder room for the times when you want to fit 3 people back there.

Build me a Prius that looks & goes like 1 of these and I'll buy 1 tomorrow :D

I'd miss the sound of a wailing V12 but if I have the look & Perfomance I can always blast the sound out of my iPod

The computer system, Faster, better software, able to tweak it myself and control every option, as well as update the software ourselves. Change a lot of the aspects of that system from the nav to the audio to the climate control. Let me know I got a list of changes I would do make it better.

if i could change 1, no make that 4 things about the prius it would be:

    1. moonroofffffffffffffffffffff!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
omfg why don't they make it an option, especially if we're willing to dish out the $$ for it, they can just put a disclaimer that it will hurt your mpg on the highway. i think it would actually save mpg in the city as it would keep the car cooler and thus you wouldn't need to use the a/c, not to mention it would make the car more bearable in the summer for idiots that have leather.
& who doesn't like to look up at the stars when you're stuck at a traffic light (with the engine off, laughing at the other idiots around you idling)

    2. control, control, control. i want 3 modes: normal hybrid, engine on, and ev mode.
EV mode is obviously great around parking lots & apartment complexes, and if you know you're going to soon need to climb a mountain, it would be nice to engage 'engine on' to FULLY FULLY charge the battery to help climb that mountain, which would make the car bearable in the rockies. I know California screwed the rest of the country on the EV mode button that is avail everywhere else in the world. But even that wouldn't give me the control that us control freaks need.

    3. door & center armrest material that doesn't get so dirty so quickly.

    4. i don't want to push that stupid "i agree" button anymore

Anyone agree/disagree? post your pithy comments.

props to toyota for the cool cup holders, ingenious steering wheel controls, roomy hatchback, fold flat seats, and to have the foresight to make avail luxury items like HID's, nav, skid control & bluetooth in a economy car. kudos for the hybrid & CVT powertrain as well, this is why they're #1.

I love toyotas & my prius but as an american I wish the big 3 would do better, they're not bad companies, they just have poor leadership with poor foresight. GM thinks that the yukon, silverado & malibu hybrids will save them. silly rabbits, they should've dropped all projects & got that sexy Volt into production. with plug-in capability its actually better than the prius, not to mention better looking, but then again, anyone see that gorgeous green prototype prius?

A less aggressive Cruise mode, perhaps where you select two speeds and it pulse/glides between those speeds most efficiently. Wider speed range for open roads, narrower range when traffic is following. I could just watch the road, not the Speedo and MFD. Wouldn't have to take off my right shoe either.
