Would anyone be interested in these mouldings if I could keep the price point at or around $110.00? I need to know the interest in these.

I would offer the 1 3/8" 4pc. color keyed. You would have to negotiate your own deal on installation.

P.M. or email me. Let me know if you are interested or if you have suggestions. Thanks.

Just an update on the mouldings. I will be offering the mouldings starting sometime this week. The cost is $110.00. These are the same mouldings that Dawn Enterprises offers.

    Dimensions are:

1-3/8" Half Round with 90 degree angle bullet nose
    Front length 40-3/16"
    Rear length 32-3/8

I will post again when they are ready for ordering.

The price sounds great compared to the price of the ones from Toyota.
Is there a pic of them on a car so I can see just what they look like?

Wow, this is a great price indeed, '04-'05 Highlander molding costs $110 each and each Prius needs FOUR of those, so total can come to $440 easily!

I am sold. Put me in for a set please. Will instructions be included?

I bought and installed body side molding from Sportwing in Valley View, Ohio (online). It was $39 for roughly 30' of 1" molding, and works and looks great! It can be cut and trimmed, and the ends that you cut can be brushed with clear nail polish and it looks like a factory job. I will try to get pictures of my car - I am out of town right now.

The waranty covers just about anything that could go wrong.

Peeling, fading, falling of the vehicle. I could come up with a whole list of items. Let's just say I will warranty them for just about anything within reason. Common sense prevails when it comes to this.

I obviously will not warranty them for doing the job they were intended to do. If someone bangs the moulding with a shopping cart and chips the paint, that's not covered. If the moulding is laying on the ground next to your Prius instead of stuck to the door... that's going to be covered.

If you have any scenarios that you want to run past me, please do. I really do want your feedback. :)

Would it be possible for PriusChat to arrange a group buy?

I have those mouldings. If I remember it cost me about $160.00 delivered. I had my body shop install for $60.00. They look great. Like they were made for the car. Someone else had posted pictures on this site. I used those to show the body shop the exact location that looked good.

I purchased Black Protective Side Body Molding (1") from Sportwing.com in Ohio. It comes in rolls, and can be cut and trimmed (I shaped the ends with a sander). You seal off the ends with clear nail polish, and it looks like a factory job. I made a mistake on one side (off about 1/4"), and you can easily remove the 3M adhesive taped strip with a heat gun or hair dryer (it slowly pulls off clean!). The roll of molding cost me $35!

I ordered one from Eddie and it is supposed to come tomorrow. I haven't decided yet whether I'm going to be brave (or foolish) enough to install it myself.

Let me know what you decide to do and why. I am interested to know if it's the instructions or the fact that once they are stuck... they are stuck. :)

Would someone who has installed these side mouldings please take some high quality (good resolution, good light, multiple angles, etc) photos and post them.

Although I'm intrigued by the idea of the side mouldings I'm not sure I really need them and if they don't add to the appearance of my car I'll probably opt against them.

Of course, an $89 group buy would sure sweeten the pot Eddie!

You are good Evan  very good.

I am so on this thing like you would not believe.
In regard to this Evan. Give me a call at your leisure. I have a few questions for you and typing is not my strong suit.

    Thanks.

Eddie -- I got the mouldings and the mask today. The mouldings call for a 75 degree car body temperature and it is in the 40s here in VA so it may be a while before I install them. :D . By the way, the instructions did not specify on using the adhesive accelerants that came in two plastic tubes but I assume that it's needed to cure the adhesive.
Do I get a refund back on the group buy rate? We'll maybe on the XM radio later. I tried opening the pdf instructions you posted for the XM but it does not open for me. Is the link broken?

Evan -- someone posted the pictures of their car with mouldings on this thread. He had them professionally installed and they are really nice.
