I live in France I would like to buy an Ipod Kit for my Prius (2005) in USA because in France only Toyota sell and install their kit and it's very expensive: 400$ (300€).
So I would like to know what kit it's better for my car and works with wheel steering, and show song name on prius MFD.
    -Dice electronics i-Toyota-R
    -USA Spec PA12TOY
    -Vais AIC-100i

    Regards,
    Blaise

USA Spec sent me a version of their unit, and I can't get the thing to work for the life of me with any of the new ipods.

I'll leave my comments at that until I have a chance to test the VAIS units.

European radios DO NOT share the same programming as US radios. You'll be purchasing at your own risk, it may not work at all.

    Hello Blaise,
When you say it's working very well; do you mean you can browse through artists, album an so on from steering wheel ?
Did you buy the latest version of the Dice ?

    Thx

I have a VAIS SLQ2i and it works flawlessly.

They also have a firmware updater, which I also bought, so that i could install their updates. The latest update fixes a glitch with the 5th-gen iPod that would prevent it from restarting after a bluetooth phone call.

They're currently working on adding Artist and Album lists, in addition to the Playlist navigation method, which is the only way to choose songs so far. The newest update also adds the ability to have more than 99 playlists too.

Everything about the VAIS has worked perfectly; I really like this company, and also their customer service, which is more than I can say for a particular Prius mod company I've dealt with lately...

If you create playlists you can browse under your playlists.
With the CD2 you select your playlist number and you come back to the CD1 for browse your selected playlist with the steering wheel or the screen.
