2006 Prius w/Nav package...the present position symbol occasionally drives off the map overlay as if it had no GPS info. I've noticed that "GPS" is not displayed in upper left corner when this happens. Sometimes it will "find" itself within a few minutes and put itself back in the correct position on the map; but once on a long trip it was 300 miles off course by the time I got home and I had to manually reposition the symbol using the recalibration setting page. Anyone else seen this behavior? Bad GPS receiver, interface, software, etc? Local Toyota service tech has been no help.

Unplug the battery from the car for a min, hopefully it's just freaking out?

Your NAV is loosing the GPS signal. Were you driving in the mountains? Was anything set on top of the dash? Do you have a tinted front window?

Anything that blocks the GPS signal can cause this behavior. If it happens routinely in an open area, then you may have a problem.
