New version of the IceLink blocks iPod controls. You are supposed to use your head unit and playlists, similar to iPod/BMW. I called Dension and their sales rep confirmed this.

    IMHO, it sucks.

Ugh, that is not an upgrade.

Who the heck actually uses scan anyway? Scan works when you're cycling through 20 AM stations trying to find the game, not when you're looking through 60GB of music trying to find a specific track.

I guess you could always have your passenger disengage the iPod, find the song they want to hear, then plug it back in again, but that's a huge pain, and they're eventually gonna break something with all that reconnecting.

Guess I'll stick with the FM transmitter for a while longer.

Can you find a complete list of support cars anywhere on that site? I see no indication that the plus model is supported in the prius or any toyota.

I bought an ipod2car and am not very happy with it. This icelink thing looks like at the very least it has gone through more QA testing...

I believe Dension never supported Prius, even with previous release.

    What's wrong with your Ipod2Car?

I detailed my problems over here...

    ...

I believe that link that says the Icelink works in the 2004 Prius is probably only for the Icelink, and not the Icelink Plus model.
