Honestly I'm not too happy with my Toyota dealership in the Northern VA area and would like to switch dealerships for servicing asap. I've passed 27000 miles and still need the 25000 service done. I would love to hear the opinions and stories of others who have had their Priuses serviced in the Northern VA area.

I'm not happy with Frederick, MD (DarCars) or Westminster (Koons)

I join Swampthing in looking for that dealer where we can all take our cars. I'd happily drive over 50 miles to get a dealer with Prius technicians I can talk to who show some interest in our new cars and their drivers.

I had a very pleasant experience at Koons Tysons Toyota. I just had my 5K mile service done last weekend. I called a few days in advance and they had the new Nav DVD ready for me. When I arrived for my Saturday 9:45am appointment the service area was pretty full (expected). I was told the service, Nav update and state inspection would take about 2 hours. I went to sit in waiting area to watch a little CNN (they also offer a shuttle to the mall, perfect for Xmas shopping). To my surprise the were finished in an hour. Not bad.

Not too many votes, but Koon's Tyson's seems to be the top here.

I've gone to Koons (tysons) twice. I wasn't as happy the second time (because of the time it took to do the service. I dropped off in the morning, told them I'd be back at 4:30, returned at 5:00 and the car wasn't ready till 6:15) and let them know. I got two phone calls about it, the second from the Service Manager apologizing for the inconvenience. I wasn't plan on taking the car back, but they did call and apologize, so I'll give it another shot. The first service there was fine and without problem.

Hey Swampthing! If you are still around, which dealer were you switching from?
    Any details on the problem?

    I'm coming up for 5K.

I wonder how Toyota service departments deal with people who bought their car elsewhere. I bought in Fairfax because they had one ready to go, but I live in Springfield so I'd like to service there.

I bought a Jeep in 01 from Fairfax but the Dodge dealership in Srpingfield happily welcomed me for service.
