    from a car shop in town!

    i life in the EU and these are italyen made! 11,5 for the 6 led T11
    and 5,75 for a set (2) of the T10 small led for the reading lights.

    these are in dollars i converted them from the euro-dollar.

    normally in the door there are T10 to but i dont think the light is strong anough so i am going to custom fit a T11 in there with the 6 leds just like the on in the cargo.

    Thanks, guys. I can't believe that they would use incandescent lamps inside and outside on an electric vehicle... :confused:

    Are they? I'll have to take a closer look.

    I mean, it isn't that expensive for LED bulbs, and they last longer and have much less current draw...

    I am so confused right now.

    Can anyone list what type of LED is for what light? i.e:

    Cargo light (trunk area) = Type?
    Front Dome light Left & Right = Type?
    Front Dome light Center = Type?
    Courtesy Door light = Type?
    Rear Dome light = Type?
    Vanity (behind visor) light = Type?

    That would help a lot.
    Thank You

    Cargo = DE3022
    Front Dome/Maplights = 194/168
    Courtesy = 194/168
    Rear dome = DE3175
    Vanity.. don't know but I believe it's 168 too.

    This isn't an electric vehicle. Electric Vehicles don't use gasoline. Though I agree... drives me nuts that they use incandescents where LEDs would be far superior. I'm glad that at least the brakes are LED. The entire interior of all my cars is LED - but they sure didn't come that way.

    I spent a bit of time making an accurate list here:

    Electrically powered, then. I was thinking (at the time of my prior post) of my NEV, which has the same problem.

    Not electrically powered either. Electronic controlled and variable drive train. Most of the power goes from the internal combustion engine to the road via a gear train, some travels via generators, motors inverter and batteries.

    The reason the brake lights are LEDs is for the faster response times (and space age look).
    LEDs are virtually instant on where an incandescent element takes a fraction of a second to heat to white hot. This quicker response time means following drivers have slightly more warning of a braking event.

    I suspect cost was a factor in the decision to use incandescent lights.
    Oh the glove-box light is LED also. Same reason USA has the worlds cheapest Prius' but no height adjustment of the drivers seat.

    Any comment on this ebay item?

    This is a 12 LED Type T-10 (for map light and courtesy light)
    What is a typical 12 LED power consumption? I am afraid it draws too much power. I believe 5W is the max.

    And here is 9-LED Type 3022 for Trunk & Vanity light

    12 5mm LEDs cannot dissipate anywhere NEAR 5W. In fact it would be tough to get 1W for longer than a few seconds. My comment: It'll be as dim as most of the other 5mm-based LED products.
