Well guys, the "Touring" badge that I ordered from Toyota of Dallas came in the mail in a timely manner. I also added an extra badge to make a "Sporty" statement.

I ordered the "S" badge from eBay. The seller was from Germany.

your car looks great. like the plate, the rims, the red calipers. (how did you do the calipers? yourself, or took them to someone?)

i thought it would be fun to de-badge my car, and replace the toyota logos with lexus logos, since i have the leather and all. that would really throw some people. don't know how to remove that stuff, and don't want to ruin the paint.

    Dang that's a huge "S"!!

It's quite similar to the Type S "S" but I don't recall any of them being this big and chrome. They're usually red.

Hmm.... (sorry, just trying to guess which car, if any, this "S" comes from)

Hey guys, here are some answers to some previous questions:

The wheels on my Prius is by "LIMITED". It's 17 inches and with a 45 offset. I bought it from a local tire dealer here in Youngstown. It's pretty heavy. 45 pounds each with tires and all. So, I get a hit with my mileage. I actually am averaging 44 MPG on a fulltank of gas. It's ok with me though, since I only commute 3 miles to work and it actually makes the car feel very stable, due to the wider wheels.

The red calipers are painted. I did them myself with caliper paint. It wook about 7 coats to achieve a good durable layer. I pretty much used a heat gun on medium setting to help dry each coat (speeds up the process).

The BIG behemuth is my Suburban :D . I hardly drive it anymore after I got my Prius. But, still kept it for "hauling" lumber, garden stuff, and as a cruiser for my two big dogs, Cleo and Barron, a great dane and doberman.

The "S" badge is from Porsche. I got it from a seller from Germany.

I used a waxed mint-flavored dental floss and just carefully slid it back and forth behind the badge. Just be careful not to scrape your fingernails against the paint. You'd want to use and change the floss after it gets dulled. After the badge is removed, just clean any left over adhesive with windex cleaner. Oh, as I was advised by another poster, make sure you line the bottom of the TOYOTA badge with blue painters tape so that you may align the new badge.

    Vince.

I usually prefer no badges, but I have to admit that looks good. If Toyota did a touring badge, that should be it. Your car looks very nice.

I was thinking one of these would look awesome on the Prius (and might confuse a few at the same time):

I'm holding out for a very dignified, rectangular, beveled, brushed chrome badge (1 x 6 inch) that is engraved "BT Equipped"
