Hi I'm here only to inform everyone that there was NO alcohol what so ever involved in this accident. Half of what the news has reported is NOT TRUE!!!! I know this for a fact!!

agreed with the griffeth post...No alcohol involvement, I spoke with their son today and all he said was that they think the Dodge driver might have possibly fallen asleep/blacked out (maybe medical issue?)

I know for a fact there was NO ALCOHOL involved.... I am so sorry for what happened to Mr. Kriz. It was a freak accident and my Brother-in-law is a mess over it. I pray for the other family and hope that GOD is watching over him. Accidents happen, but we do know it was an accident and there was no drug or alcohol to blame. God Bless !!!!!:(

I take that road daily on my commute (at 45 mph) and was surprised by having to detour on the way home (glad I had NAV); not knowing what occurred. My worried parents called the next day as they knew a Prius was involved. Then they realized I wouldn't be on that road at that time.

I'm sorry it happened, no matter what makes of car were involved.

I'm actually very impressed with how intact the interior of the Prius appeared to be! Way to go, Toyota!

Yes, and the "bird poop" in the interior is explained by the paint cans, obviously white paint! Hope everybody gets back to normal!! Going to my trunk to see what heavy stuff I have back there :(

I just checked my trunk.... an empty 1-gallon plastic gas can, and some tennis shoes. Now that heavy VHF ham radio just sitting on the trunk floor.... gonna screw that down with some plumbers tape this weekend! I don't think normal tie-downs on some heavy paint cans would have done the slightest bit of good in an accident of this severity. Keep that heavy stuff out of your trunk... not just because of mpg, but for safety!!

Horrible news, sorry to hear this. My niece is in nearly the exact same situation from an accident at the end of January, a street racer lost control and struck her car, she has been in a coma ever since. Hope things go well for the folks in this accident... let's all be careful out there.

Here is a reply i got from a reliable source today at 8:58 PM

hey... sorry i havent been able to respond so quickly, i have been doing college tours this week and have been out of town.

As of right now Jack is sadly not doing well. Recently his kidneys started failing and is still in his induced coma. They have not taken him out of the coma to see how responsive he will be. He is now living day by day and since i have been gone this week i have nothing new, which could be good i hope. :)

I will keep you updated with what i know and find out as time goes on.

the above statement is what I have been updated on as well. His kidneys are going into renal failure BUT his wife apparently was able to talk to him for a few minutes- I guess he came out of the coma for a few and then they put him into an even deeper one.

Thank you for the updates on Jack. I am sorry to hear that the news is still not really good. Again, please keep me posted on his condition. We are still praying for him and his family. He seems like a strong man and He will pull through. he has made it this far. God, is watching over him.
