This sounds familiar. If my memory is correct, the job poll immediately prior to this one also was missing an engineer category. What's up with that? Seems like a rather large job category to miss. Especially on this board.

I'm guessing there aren't too many Prius's in the parking lot at the iron workers union!

My grandad was a lifelong ironworker...very proud of it. He used to tell me some great stories!

30 years as a Union Millwright, installed/maintained many Turbine/Generators over the years (Geothermal, Solar, Gas, coal fired, etc.) and all other types of new construction. I always liked the challenge of the "next" job.
Unfortunately I had to go out on a Disability Retirement BUT I found this can be a joy also (other than medical problems,LOL):eyebrows:

Not many at a Millwright hall either

Currently, a Web Developer building Web-based applications for the Army Reserve (via a mid-sized government contract corp) using .NET, C#, VB, etc.

Have also practiced law, taught at the University level, been a manager in both legal and technical fields, and am always threatening to "quit" to be a full-time sculptor.

I guess in the poll, "computer" might double for the internet industry?

Did you check "Legal" on the poll? The "Legal" number hasn't changed in a while.

Why don't you include retirees' former professions? It would broaden the Prius driver type.
