When I approach my passenger side and pretend to touch the front handle it automatically unlocks the back door as well. I would like to approach the front driver side and have it unlock the back driver side, too. Any ideas on how to change the settings? Thanks everybody!

I know it's in the manual, but I forget the page. It involves pressing the buttons on the remote in a certain sequence.

Basically you can program it yourself so either...
    1. Driver's handle unlocks only itself and Passenger's (or Trunk) handle unlocks all (default).
    2. Driver's handle unlocks all, just like the Passenger and Trunk handles do during the default setting.
    3. Driver, Passenger and Trunk handles only unlock themselves. This is the most secure.
While the second setting is closest to what you want, remember it'll unlock everything, not just the door behind the driver.

Thanks. I've checked the book and couldn't find it but I'll look again. I don't mind if it unlocks all the doors.

Page 32 in the 2007 manual.

Basically you press and hold the lock button and the panic button for 5 sec on the key fob. Each time you do this, it will switch between the 3 different modes explained above.

Thanks so much. I did this on my 05 but forgot how to do it, and have been suffering with passengers pulling at unresponsive doorhandles for a long time now.

You can customize your paint job using the little metal key in the remote, but it's not a look I like.

Counting to 5 did not work.

I ended up holding down the panic and lock buttons simultaneously until I heard a confirmation beep. I touched the driver side door handle and looked across to the passenger side door to verify the passenger side was also unlocked.

I tried several times holding the door lock button and panic button down, but all I accomplished was setting off the alarm!

Does anyone know if that same alarm goes off if someone tries to break in the car?

    Make sure

    a) All doors and hatch are completely closed.

    b) You haven't left the other keyfob in the car somewhere.
