Bought an 08 touring 6. Stealer filled the tank and the car had 6 miles on it total. I drove over 500 miles and only had to put 9.5 gallons in it. It was 10% freeway and 90% city all with the AC on.

My 4x4 GMC 2500 Diesel 9,000LB truck is sitting parked with a for sale sign on it (did NOT get any calls either).

Man I could not be happier about the MPG on the Prius. If it goes up after break in Its just icing on the cake.

Very nice! Glad to hear great mpg even with the AC on. I still have to experiment on my Prius this coming summer with the AC on. I got my '08 last November and AC has not been turned on yet.

I am wishing nice mpg in the 50's for I love to turn my AC on during summer.

I think he meant the Automatic Climate Control. You haven't used yours yet to heat up the car this winter? What are you waiting for? ;)

53.36? Is that from your calculator? The computer carries only one decimal place. Good Job with the gas mileage. It will go up to more than 55MPG once the car breaks in and when you learn to drive it better.

Brake early and judge traffic and traffic lights, don't tailgate don't use B and drive smooth. Accelerate briskly but brake slowly.

Try this, try to stop at red traffic lights without using the brakes until you stop. When you master this I bet you will be getting 60+mpg around town.

You did good. I have never gotten a 50 mpg tank. It's the price I pay to enjoy New York City's alternate side of the street parking rules (lots and lots of cold short trips just to park my car).

I'm still waiting to hit 40mpg here in NYC. It's slow going with the cold weather too! Friend in florida is getting over 50mpg with all that warm weather.
what's with the site I can barely get on anymore...it's oh so slow or I just can't get on????

I've used my heater several times already. If it has something to do with the adjustable temp. setting, then I have used that many times. I just remember not to turn on the heat after riding for about 10 minutes or so. Sometimes, I don't even turn on the heat :smow: if I am travelling alone.
