I'm reading this excellent forum for some time.
Finally, last night I got my Silver Metallic Prius. I wanted the Magnetic Gray (here in Portugal we have only 4 colors: White, Black, Silver and Gray), but, I had to wait another month for it :-(
We also have basically two "packages" here. A Basic, and a "High-Pack", there is a third that is High-Pack with leather seats. My option was for the High-Pack, that basically has:

    Cruise Control,
    Smart Key System,
    Backup Camera,
    Vehicle Stability Control (VSC),
    JBL® AM/FM 6-disc in-dash CD changer,
Auxiliary audio jack, MP3/WMA playback capability,
    Hands-free phone capability via Bluetooth®,
    Voice-activated DVD navigation system,
    EV Button,
    Inteligent Parking Assist.

It's really an amazing machine to drive, and I was surprised with the fuel economy I got right on the first kilometers. I have drove some 100km (62 miles) mixed highway and city, and got 4.5 l/100km (52 MPG).

Thanks for all the information shared with newbies like me.
I hope to be able to share some knowledge soon.

    Regards,

    GHubsch

Welcome to the club. I have basically the same model as yours in black. In the U.S. we can't get the EV button or parking assist, so I don't have those, but I do have the self adjusting HID headlamps. It's a great car.

    Thanks for the warm welcome.

    It's a boy !
Regarding photos, I'll post some as soon as I have. Maybe during this weekend I'll have the chance to make some with my baby in a nice surrounding.

Welcome GHubsch ! The model you have is called T Spirit here in England which has optional leather seats (I took them). We didn't get a Smart Key System, but then as you will no doubt read on this forum in time, we do get height adjustable seats, which crazily are not an option in US.

See you quoting different fuel cons figures. Perhaps you might want to pop in the "fuel economy forum" and download my Universal Fuel Consumption Excel Sheet, which gives your data in US mpg, Imperial mpg and litre/100 kms as well as km / litre, all from your 1 mileage and fuel input....

Anyway, I'm sure you will have a lot of fun with your new baby boy, Congrats

    Hi priusuk2008,

By the way, I have also height adjustable seats... it seems that it's a nice configuration that we have here in Portugal.
It's a shame that our color "palette" is so reduced !

Regarding your XLS sheet... already downloaded it. Very nice work. I was thinking about doing some thing like this, so, thanks a lot for sharing it with us. I'll make a good use of it.

    Regards,

The European configuration is quite good overall, but then its probably the most expensive world wide. Yes, I knew you would have the adjustable seats but you should browse this forum for the stink it causes in US not to have it. I don't have heated mirrors on my options but they do in US. I'm not sure there is one Prius in the whole world that has all the options available worldwide, but it would be interesting to find out.

Glad you like the excel sheet. If had been on my mind a while to do this for different parameters and I finally got some free time and just sat and did it. If you have any improvement suggestions please let me know.

Welcome to PriusChat, GHubsch! It's always interesting to learn the differences between Prius from different countries. Many differences are subtle and only noticed when you travel and see a Prius that is almost like yours. In Europe you have disk brakes all around, while we in the US have drum brakes in the rear. Neither will wear out in normal driving...

I am SO envious that you have a height-adjustable driver's seat! I noticed on the Toyota Portugal website that your cars have that feature and many of us here in the USA really want that but our Prius configuration doesn't offer it as an option. :( You will see several threads here discussing the topic.

A trans-atlantic "abraço" to you from your fellow priuschat.com enthusiasts!
