I am trying to get in the "all doors unlocking mode" and having no luck. Have followed the instructions on page 43 of the manual. Has anyone had success with this? I read that Steveholtam was able to do this. Help!

I think a lot of people have done this.
Try a few more times. I remember my second try was successful, not the 1st.
Follow the procedure step by step, and slow down.

I was able to do it no problem. Even used the same method to unlock all doors on my sister's Lexus.
If you can't get it to work, I'm sure the service guy or the salesman will help you out.

To change the settings correctly, on the FOB you press the lock button and the panic button at the same time and hold for 5 seconds to cycle through the different modes.
    3 modes
    1. Drivers door (unlocks only drivers door) Passenger and Luggage open all doors.
    2. DR, Pass, lugg door opens all doors.
    3. Each door opens only that particular door.

I learned something new today. When I get off from work, I will try pressing the panic button and lock button at the same time and see what happens.

Sometimes, I really like all doors to unlock when I get in from the driver side. All of my doors unlock, if I open it from the passenger side though.

Wow, I didn't know we could change it. I guess I should have read all the instructions.
    Thanks!

I just tried it and got it after about 3 tries. It beeped differently but didn't change the setting. I found the instructions slightly confusing because they talk about performing operations and steps, but I got it.

First "modification" and it was a snap. Now to just figure out what I need to do to get that blasted reverse and seatbelt beep to stop. (Toyota dealer here is still giving me the run around on some things that should have already been included.)

One of the ScanGauge threads details the settings that can be changed. Have you discussed this with Toyota? Did you contact the dealer's corporate office expressing your displeasure? If you can't get the customizable settings to your preferences then give the lowest possible score across the board on the customer satisfaction survey.

Ask about the dealer's customization policy BEFORE buying the car. If they won't freely accomodate you--walk.
