New owner in honolulu

Congrats! I won't get mine until the 16th. I'd like to seem some pics of the car with the awesome Hawaiian scenery.

I bought my 08 package #2 Spectra Blue Mica last September. If you see me on H1 give me a wave, but if you see a woman driving, don't bother as my wife probably won't wave back.

Haven't seen anything on Prius clubs or meets here. Be sure to go to the new hybrid owners welcome that Servco gives. Ono grindz, gifts, and door prizes as well as some good information and a question and answer period with the mechanics.

 

Well, not Honolulu proper, I live in Waipio.

Yes, I went. They had Toyota representatives from customer service, parts, and mostly service technicians ... no one from sales. Most seemed to be from the Kaneohe, but that maybe because they rotate the representatives from the differnt dealerships

Their meet for new hybrid owners is held about once every two to three months. There were about 50 -60 owners at the one I attended, mostly Prius but a handful of Camry hybrid and one or two Highlander hybrid owners.

My daughter, who bought her Prius, 07 Magnetic Gray package 3, about six months before I did never got an invitation, so she came with me to mine. If you don't get your invitation in a month or two give your salesman a call. They also have a monthly meeting for all new non-hybrid owners, which doesn't go into hybrid specifics and not the one you would want to attend.

 

Congrats on the purchase. Gas prices in the Hawaiian islands are probably over $4 bucks by now. You made the right decision. Enjoy cruising.

 

Okay Hawaiian guys. Time to take some pictures of your Priuses with a nice Hawaiian sunset, or white sand beach, or maybe with some of your famous Wahine.
