Okay, you want to hear weird? I'll tell you weird.

Eight business days ago (March 25th) I mailed my passport renewal application in. I got my new passport today.

Yes, I went and bought a Lotto ticket.

When I re-registered 1998 Volvo in 2004 to move its custom plate to the new car, I was given the "generic" CA 5FXM501 as a replacement. My son now drives that car.

Last year, he spotted 5FXM500 here in our town of 6500 people. It isn't on the same type of car, but the two are consecutive.

Typically, California DMV offices will have a bunch of consecutive-numbered plates. The two of us were probably in the place at the same time...

Could be that 301 was a demonstrator registered the same day, But I'm struggling with the concept being April and all.
