    Hi to all my new Prius Friends!

    Next week my husband & I pick up our first Prius in Walnut Creek. It's a Classic Silver, package #6. We're not sure if we want to add the satellite radio option from the dealer. If so, I've read that Sirius is better, at the moment. Any advise? We've not previously subscribed to satellite radio, but are looking forward.

    Welcome to PriusChat gypsyheartbeat! I had XM installed in my Lexus IS250 and it was controlled through the same type screen that is in the Prius and I found it to be quite enjoyable. You can always go back to the dealership to get it installed. I don't know how much it cost for them to install it for you, but with my Lexus it cost about 300 bucks in labor charges, I know I paid too much. When I put XM in the Prius I think I'm going to try and give it a go myself.

    Thank you for the tip! Today, I read the Sirius & XM have mergered.

    We may actually pay the dealership to do it. We plan to pick up our new Prius in the bay area & drive it across the country to our home town, Little Rock. We may want the instant gratification of driving off the lot with our tunes! Although, with your tip, we could possibly do this ourselves & on the same day we drive off the lot!

    I understand what you mean about instant gratification. I like the idea of driving across the country, I bet you are going to have fun, and with your navigation, hopefully you wont get lost, lol.
