I got a Silver Touring Package 6 from Vallejo Toyota, a few weeks ago. I paid 26,110--which included carpet mats (essential with kids), wheel locks, and the rear bumper applique (+TTL). I also got quotes from Napa and Concord Toyota, which were slightly lower, but Vallejo had the Silver in stock at the time and was a little closer to home for the long car ride back. If you had time, it could be fun to combine a wine tasting trip and a car purchase by going to Napa--alas, I did not have the time.

I live in SoCal, but prices for the Touring are crazy. Best I was quoted was 27,200 from Thousand Oaks. You can fly from Burbank to Oakland for $120 on Southwest, and you still have about $1,000 in savings. Not a bad hourly rate for a five hour drive.

The folks at Vallejo were great--they picked me up at the Airport in the Prius I was looking to buy, so I could test drive it on the way back to the store. The sales process was smooth and simple. It was a long drive back, but a good way to bond with your car.

    I love this car!!

I paid $25,803--which included carpet mats, wheel locks, and the rear bumper applique (+TTL). 2008 Touring package 6 Red. Bought it at the Concord Toyota at Noon. Just missed you AMG. Thanks for the info on the price there. If you call up ask for Gino. Tell him Justin and Howard told you to call. He will sell you a 2008 Touring package 6 for $257xx. Great guy to deal with.

Just picked up our new 2008 package 5, Seaside yesterday. Saw a lot on this board about CARMAX Toyota in Laurel, MD, but nobody who actually purchased there. We paid $24,736 + TTL (their posted, no haggle price) and are quite happy. The experience at the dealership was outstanding. Ask for Schem, if you decide to check there, he did a great job for us. Kind of a long drive home, but it was worth saving almost $3,000 over the best price we could find in our area; including the horrible dealer Costco hooked us up with. Thanks for all the posts on Priuschat.com; very helpful with the purchase process. I look forward to finding out more about our car in the other forums.

    Love the car so far!

    Thanks,
    Tom

I got a package#2 08 Prius for 21800. I got quotes from about 7 places, and found that San Francisco Toyota gave me the best quote. OTD it was 24000 flat including mats and key lock. The manager that i dealt with is really nice, i was in and out of the San Fran Toyota in about 2 hours total. Hope this helps!

we just bought my wife a 2008 black on grey package 2 w/floor mats, cargo mat, cargo net, 1st aid kit for otd $24200 at the new toyota dealership in loma linda. we leave in l.a but my in laws live out there....

roger hooked us up. we had called around local places near us in l.a. (santa monica, culver city, n. hollywood, long beach) and roger @ loma linda beat the best phone quote we got by $200 and threw in the mats/net/1st aid kit package.

we were in/out in about 1 hour, most of the time was waiting for the car to be detailed (plastics removed) and gased up. the most painless and quick car purchase i've ever been through and definitely a record amongst our friends. they didn't hardsell on warranties, etc. he even saved us the one on the showroom floor so it hadn't been test driven around, no bugs, etc.

we love roger and love the prius.

Super White 2008 Package 2 with After market leather for $23,089 - $400 (graduate rebate) = $22,689. OTD including taxes, fees, license, etc. = $24,800.

It felt like a good deal with the after market leather.

I bought my 2008 Prius package #3 today out of state!

I live in Iowa and they were trying to do a swap with a dealer (they had a package #5 in Red). This was on a Wednesday of this week. They told me no problem, Saturday we will have it ready. We shook on it (as if that means anything in Car world these days) I called him on Friday to confirm everything was a go. He told me "Car dealers are not calling us back, don't worry, Monday maybe Tuesday... Blah Blah Blah..." He said Saturday, and I wanted it Saturday!!! Hehe..

The thing is Prius is going very fast out here in the Midwest (I bet all over USA). Our Gas in Iowa jumped 30 cents this past week (I guess we were catching up with Wisconsin). When that happened I got really concerned. I was worried that if they could not get this deal done I would not be able to afford a Prius this year or even find one. Package #3 is exactly the features I wanted, anyway...

Friday afternoon I called a ton of Toyota dealers. Found one in Red, and package 3.

It was all I wanted for the similar price of $24,700 + Tax/Title... I went with Toyota financing with a fairly low APR (lower than 5%). What was nice about Ruda, in Monroe Wisconsin. Is even though I was out of State they called all around Iowa to make sure they could take care of Title and Taxes for me! I think the reason was I went with Toyota financing. But I am happy. And they are happy. I just hope the Iowa dealer will give my $500 back (I used my Creditcard).

I have never bought a new car before. And it was a smooth experience with Ruda. They even gave me $600 for my old beater '96 Plymouth Breeze (never again will I own a Chrysler... it was the worst car I have ever owned... Another forum for that, lol).

Interesting to note, is the Iowa dealer did not want to do a trade in at all!!! They always make money on those. And I was annoyed. But I was still going to go through with their deal, until they broke their "handshake" promise.

I was getting antsy, and wanted my new shiny object. I am all about shiny objects. Hehe!

Now I got my Prius and dumped my lemon Breeze all in one day... To be honest I did not want to sell it to a person or a Used car dealer... To much hassle. And I would feel bad about selling that Breeze to an individual... But $600 was just in line with Blue Book (106,000 and fairish condition... well in my opinion total junk, buy hey!).

Bottom line if you are looking for a good dealer... Thumbs up to Monroe, Wisconsin -Ruda Toyota-... They will treat you right.

Lol, the guy in Iowa looked like Alex Baldwin... No joke! They could have been separated at birth! My wife did not really know who Alex Baldwin was and so I Google imaged it... We had a good laugh!

So, I am now in the Prius universe! Yay!
