Just purchased a brand new Package 2 Magnetic Grey 2008 Prius with preferred package (floor mats, cargo net, first aid kit etc..) and wheel locks for $22,000 ($24000 OTD)! That's $375 below invoice. Happy to be a part of this forum with my new Prius.

Here in the San Francisco Bay area, the price you paid is pretty much typical these days for anybody that takes the time to negotiate. Seems like all the Toyota dealers in this region have plenty of Prius automobiles to sell.

    Welcome aboard..

That is a good deal. I spent more yesterday for the same thing without those extra accessories. the dealers here are selling all they can get; of the 5 they had yesterday, 4 sold, and people were coming in and there weren't cars available to test drive.

I am really researching and considering purchasing a 2008 Prius Pkg. 2.

I am a little worried about the future repair cost.

Also, are the prices you are listing that you paid your your pkg. 2 before the add ons and dealer fees, etc. or the walk out the door price.

    I really need help.

How much will they come off the msrp price.? What fees don't I have to pay, etc. How to see the real invoice price.

    Help me please.

    thanks a million

I hope you enjoy your new car. I test drove on and I love it too.

You may want to look on Ebay. They have a lot of nice Prius.

I bought an '08 package 5 a month ago it has the better sound system and navigation. Didn't really need it but that is what the dealer had. Out the door, $25,200.00. Dealer down the road offered me a package 2 for $23,500.00. Hope this helps.

    Happy car hunting.

Same price I paid 1 year ago. Looks like the price hasn't risen much in a year.

With gas prices climbing on a daily basis, I'm wondering if dealers will start overcharging for their cars as they did back when the waitlists were long. Hopefully Toyota can keep up with demand.

I was strongly considering a new 2008, but opted for an extended warranty from Troy for $26K less.....after all, there's nothing wrong with my current Prius.
