Do not drive if you are unfamiliar with the location of the brake and accelerator pedals to avoid depressing the wrong pedal.

Do not drive the vehicle over or stop the vehicle near flammable materials.

Do not touch the exhaust pipe while the hybrid system is running. Doing so may cause burns.

Anybody else see some "here's your sign" statements or warnings in the manual?

Extend the shoulder belt so that it comes fully over the shoulder, but does not come into contact with the neck or slide off the shoulder. Position the lap belt as low as possible over the hips. Adjust the position of the seatback. Sit up straight and well back in the seat. Do not twist the seat belt....yada yada yada for 6 more pages

"Not to be used as a suppository." No wait a minute, that was for something else.

All the warnings really come down to 1 simple warning:

DON'T DRIVE THIS CAR OR YOU WILL BE KILLED!

Sadly, it's the same with every product you buy now. :(

Actually I remember reading something in the newspaper a few years ago about fires being started when people park their car on top of piles of dead leaves. In the fall when people rake their yards (or use those damn leaf-blowers) they make piles of leaves in the street near the curb so those big trucks can come by and suck them up, but someone parks on top of of the leaves and the car is hot enough to set the leaves on fire. Seriously I am not making this up, I really did read this. In a real newspaper. Like probably it was the Washington Post. I'm just sayin'.

I remember making leaves smoke after using a ridding lawn mower over piles at my Grandmas. I think she sometimes worried "dat der tractor catchin on far" It was easier than taking the 30 piles of leaves to the burn pile via trailer.

When taking a nap in the vehicle
Always turn the hybrid system off. Otherwise, you may accidentally move the
shift lever or depress the accelerator pedal, which could cause an accident
or fire due to hybrid system overheating. Additionally, if the vehicle is parked
in a poorly ventilated area, exhaust gases may collect and enter the vehicle,
leading to death or a serious health hazard.

I just like the fact that they provide instructions on how to take a nap in the car.

One of our work cars caught fire when it was parked over long dry grass. It was a total loss, the car and its contents.

An incorrectly worn seatbelt can do more harm than good. I have seen people driving with the sash under their arm.

the reason most companys have idiot warnings are simple. Someone one some where along the line did something incredibly stupid and sued for it. So the mass of lawyers are cvering there rears. Like caution coffie will be hot.

Re: Rediculous warnings or statements in the manual

We U.S. citizens live in a country where a woman can spill coffee on herself and win millions, or a thief can sue a homeowner for injuring themselves while breaking into their home. People are sue happy, and it takes the fun out of life.

I'd like to see how much the warnings differ depending on which countries the manual is designed for.

Here in Florida, it is not that unusual for some our more "senior" residents to mistake the pedal and brake, with disastrous results.

People are stupid. Look at our president. Even though the first election was stolen the American people voted for him the second time. Stupid is as stupid does. Look at what's on t.v./radio these days. Networks are even catering to stupid. Smart of Toyota to cover their ASSets.

Under the section on how to change the battery in the key fob there is a warning:

    OffTopic:

Yes, particularly amazing to me is that during the campaign they were able to "Swift Boat" John Kerry, yet GWB was given a pass on his incomplete National Guard Service.

So the guy who actually earned 3 Purple Hearts in combat in Vietnam was somehow not entitled to them, but the guy who was able to stay in the states but didn't complete his term is now the Commander In Chief.

It may have been off-topic, but I heartily agree. I cannot wait 'til the President leaves office!

So you recall a lie that some people with an agenda propagated in the media. I'm amazed that people want to believe something that isn't true. If you didn't like him or vote for him, that's ok, but I hope it wasn't because you believe a lie that his opponents propagated.
