It's real. Used to drink it when I was a kid. Don't remember when the last time I saw it at a store. Spelling is "Nehi". Here's a photo:

    I don't like colas.

I prefer 7 Up, Squirt or some other soda but have been working at reducing my soda intake.

Neither. The only soda I really like is Steaz root beer.

But if I had to choose... Coke.

i weaned myself off a serious caffeine habit after college. now i stick to root beer or no soda at all. mostly no soda at all.

cola just doesn't do it for me. it makes my teeth feel all funky.

True southerners call all soda type beverages "Coke". I prefer Coke to Pepsi. Pepsi tastes way too sweet. These days I try to avoid all soda as it's death. The 14% is based on a ridiculous amount of carbs to begin with, so in reality, it's a lot worse. High fructose corn syrup is nasty stuff. Oolongs and black teas for me, no sugar. That one took some work, but I was able so slowly ween myself off of putting sugar in my tea. Soda's addictive stuff. Every time I go into a restaurant I can hear the fountain machine calling me...:lalala:
these days I'm usually not listening.

Coke Zero. Way better than Diet Coke or even regular Coke.

Not a cola person either, in the summer months it's iced tea (no sugar) otherwise it's whatever non cola pop I can get the cheapest, Aldi house brand usually. When I'm in the mood for some really top shelf flavor, it's either 1919 root beer (Shells, New Ulm, MN) or Sprecher (Glendale, WI).

Diet Coke if I can't get Diet Caffeine-Free Mountain Dew. (Yes, I know that's just green fizzy water & completely misses the point). I knew the end was near when I found myself drinking diet Mountain Dew before 9 AM while I was working as a programmer.
Now that I'm retired, I stick to the caffeine-free if possible & always diet - can't afford the calories. I used to be an iced-tea person - never sweetened. I remember Grape Nehi from being a kid - also came in Orange. Now those are all too sweet for me.
The real drink of choice these days is Starbucks Java Chip Frappacino Light - 2 times a week. My guilty pleasure. The Prius knows her way to Starbucks unassisted, I think.

I grew up with large glass bottles of ice cold Pepsi. My dad would purchase 40 cases(!) at a time and keep them on the back porch. We now recognize that phosphoric acid depletes calcium and high fructose corn syrup (empty calories) promotes diabetes and obesity.

Resveratrol (promotes healthy circulatory system) is found in grape skins. You can drink alcoholic wine or grape juice. Forget Coke vs. Pepsi. Now I only collect the empty cans and plastic bottles for recycling.

This is TMI, but oh well.............I started drinking Diet Coke/Pepsi in 1985 when my college-age sister introduced it to me. I then drank diet sodas until around 2005, when I weaned myself off of them and now drink primarily water or tea.....it's just healthier (and less expensive).......Given the choice, I prefer Diet Coke to Diet Pepsi.

I have never heard of either of these two flavors of beer. Do they still make them?

I can think of better ways to consume 11 teaspoons of sugar. I prefer water and microbrew beer depending on the time of day (but only two)

    Not enough poll options...

Diet Dr Pepper is my preferred soda...

    As for the colas:

If I am drinking it straight/on ice = Diet Pepsi.

If I am having a mixed drink with cola in it = Diet Coke

If I am cooking on the BBQ and using it for the baisting or maronade = Coke Classic

Water is number one in my book, but since my oldest son served an internship with Pepsi-Tropicana and got hired after graduation I "prefer" Pepsi products and will occasionally splurge on Naked Juice. His internship project involved rehabbing a plant for increased Naked Juice production.
