Got my Prius from Hollywood Toyota a week ago and got a good deal. Dealt with Gary the internet manager there. No Haggle name your price and he will do the best he can do get it done for you. Tell him Rich sent you.

Had the car for a week and already put on 700 miles on her. 48.8 MPG

Was the price you quoted the OTD price?

I bought my silver Prius last Saturday.... I paid $25,519 for a Pkg 4, which includes $199 for side body moldings. With tax and license the total OTD pricing was $27,541.92. [IMG] I requested Internet quotes from 6 dealers, and Toyota City had the lowest quote. I feel lucky to have captured what might be the last Silver, Pkg 4, on the dealer lots in the Twin Cities. I understand that now most dealers have waiting lists and are selling for sticker or close to it.

I had received a Costco pricing quote of $750 over invoice from another dealer on April 11th, but they only had a silver package 6's and I was looking for a Pkg 4. The salesperson previously said they could do a dealer trade, but later seemed reluctant to look for a Pkg 4 for me. He said, "It would be easier to sell you the Pkg 6." I had decided to shop around, but didn't act right away.

Big surprise on 4/25 when dealers responding to my Internet requests said Prius' were scarce, and they would not match or beat Costco pricing. When I called my original Costco dealer, they refused to honor my original quote for the Pkg 6, and said the Costco pricing was now $200 under sticker because of the high demand. Bummer. Luckily, Toyota City had one silver pkg 4 in stock, and I made the deal on Saturday and picked it up on Monday. They gave me another $100 off their original Internet quote, for a total of $600 under sticker. Also, I will have leather heated seats installed in the fall and have a deal for under list price.

Now I'm ready for my summer road trips!

Postscript to my previous message today....
I stopped by my dealer to get my license plates installed this afternoon. One of the salesman told me that the price of all new Prius' coming in now went up $400 and there are no more discounts off sticker. What a difference six days makes! I would have had to pay $1000 more had I waited until this weekend. I feel lucky, and I'm thankful for the timing!

Brand new Prius owner here. This is my first post on PriusChat. Last night we signed the papers in a Boston dealership for a seaside pearl 2008 with package 6. Our price was $26.3K. We pick up the car early next week. I know that many here have gotten better deals, but in the Boston area, the supply is rapidly shrinking. Dealers who had a dozen or more 4 weeks ago when we started looking now have none at all, and those dealers who have inventory are mostly out of package 6 Prii. I'm grateful to the Forum for providing guidance and information, which saved us a lot of money at the negotiation tables.

I have owned 2 of these gems. First I had an 07 Touring with Pkg 3 for which we paid aound 25k, pre L and T. After wrecking that one, we bought a 2008 Touring pkg 6 for 26k Pre L and T.
Now I want another Prius, so that we can be a two-Prius family. What are the chances we can get a good deal on a used one?

I'm noticing that west coast prices are substantially cheaper than east coast.
In Michigan, last week I spent $26.5k + TTL on a Base Pkg#6, Super White with grey leather interior, Carpet mats and no other frills.
I would of liked the Touring model, but none were available. When I asked other dealers for the Super White with Dark Grey, I was told either Toyota doesn't make that combination or they sell them on the West coast.
I was and am glad I have what I have. No regrets.

I purchased a loaded '06 in December as a Christmas gift to myself. I had to drive about 200mi to get it, but it was so worth it. It was roughly $21,000. It was about $21,400 but the dealer hadn't noticed a huge gouge in the front bumper cover, as well as a crack. I told him there was no way I would drive 200mi again, and there was no way I would leave without the car. So we worked out a $400 adjustment. I love the car, and heck no I haven't fixed the gouge and crack. Now I don't have to worry about little scrapes and what not. (Though I do.) haha

I just signed for my car on June 24th in South Bend, Indiana. I got the car for $24,309 and paid $27,144.83 total for the #2 package. I consider myself fortunate because I was able to get the car without having to be on a waiting list. I also got the dealer to throw in tinting for the windows, the bumper appliqué, and oil changes @ $9.95 for the first 12. I thought this was good considering I did pay $699 over MSRP and I get my car!

    Hope this helps.

HMMMMMMMMMMMM MAYBE i placed my thread in the wrong place......................

THANK YOU santa monica toyota. Devora and Jordan did a wonderful job for my daughter! this is my 2nd purchase there, i got a package #6 back in feb for $28.9K OTD, and my daughter just got her #2 for $26-27K OTD. they did a fantastic job in financing and working out a great deal. Wait time = a month. what i waited for was the EXACT VEHICLE, CAR AND PACKAGE that i wanted. for this price, they added (no option) a starter guard for 695 - no worries, can't complain.

    photos to see.

    happy 4th! be safe.

I was just quoted a price (and put down a deposit of $500) for a 2009 for just under $26K OTD. I have the email to prove it when I finally get my car too. I'm hopping I can talk them down when we get to the dealership to get the car, but we shall see.
