Where do I get one of these? ;)

After about 6 months of research, I decided on a Prius. I arranged everything with the dealer and now I'm just waiting.

We went to the dealer yesterday so they could look at my car and give us a price on trade in. They had one Prius there that was already sold, but they showed me some stuff. It's going to be like relearning how to drive. I'm a little intimidated.

My husband fell in love with the Yaris. He's a total dork. But you can get one completely decked out for like 15k. (I'm sticking with the prius)

I have been assured that my Prius will be here "any day now."

You don't need a degree: it drives like any other car. Really the only difference is starting. Press on the brake with your foot, then press the power button, wait two seconds while everything powers up (it will say "Ready") and off you go. It's that simple. Everything else is fine tuning or simply playing with the technology: fun, but not required.

Like I mentioned in another post, just do your research here about all of the sounds it makes and you'll feel better. It sounds different than most cars, but they're all normal. And you hear a lot of little sounds more often since the car is so quiet.

Most of all, be careful in parking lots. People don't hear the car and walk in front of me texting all the time :D

My first Prius experience was as a rental car. I don't think I would have picked it unless the person with me had known about it, as I wouldn't have known how to turn it on! But once I saw how it worked it was easy, I took it on a 300 mile drive that week with no problems, and boy was it fun! I had no idea about how to drive it and still got 45 mpg. Drive it like a regular car first, get used to it, then you can start driving it to get better mpgs.
