A while ago I was always driving fast cars with great stability and I really missed that in the Prius. I tried making it better adding suspension components (which helped a lot) but never quite made it to my expectations. Finally this accident made me feel a lot less safe inside a Prius.

Prius instability is well documented on reviews made including poor braking distance for its class.

I'd like to feel safer on my daily driver. I love the Prius based on its technical and economical aspects... however, feeling safe and actually enjoying how your ride feels and behaves is entirely more important to me.

Btw, I bought a 2008 Civic Si sedan... I know its completely different car and is not as economical(26mpg avg), but I love it... I may consider a next gen Prius later on, if they improve a few things I never got used to.

PS. I receive Road & Track Magazine... If you want to get a nice overview of what the Prius offers go to the last few pages until you find two pages with a big list of cars and specs of each. Check the Prius... it has a lot of bad numbers... and only one good... mpg... I'm not saying that its a bad car, I had one... I'm just saying that when you buy a car I think it should have more than one or two good things. That's just my opinion.
