I preordered mine a while back from amazon.com for $89.99 minus $10.00 from a gift card I got for free plus free shipping. UPS delivered it today at 11:00am. I'm still at work and I cant wait to get home. :D

One thing I was not expecting was you need to be fit to move the board around. That thing is freaking heavy. So far I seem to like it pretty well. I'm hoping I can use it to lose some weight. We Ski was pretty fun. I only played a few minutes so I cant say if its a good buy or not. I hope game companies start to use the board for some games because this looks like it will be pretty fun to use.

Still waiting for ours, which we pre-ordered a while back from B&N/Gamestop.

Just curious, is "Dodge the Silent Hybrid" one of the games? :D

I googled it. It looks like a piece of plastic you stand on. You could stand on a piece of plywood a lot cheaper. Then instead of watching a damn computer you could read a book.

I noticed that my Sam's Club had them available for 'click and pull', so I ordered one at 11pm the night before. When I went to pick it up after work yesterday, Sam's was completely sold out (except for the click and pull orders), although there were plenty of purchase cards on the display. They had sold so quickly that they had not had time to remove the cards! One guy came in earlier and asked how many they had left; they had 4, and he took them all. I'll bet they're on Ebay now. The customer service people told me to place my other purchases around the Wii Fit to hide it until I got it to the car... people were really po'd about not being able to get them.

I got the thing mainly to help DH with his balance issues, but if I am able to use it to whittle some fat off my butt, great. We have hula-hooped, slalomed and ski-jumped, bonked soccer balls with our heads, walked tightropes, jogged, played tennis and baseball, bowled, and did a little yoga, and I can't remember what else...in one evening. It was lots of fun, so I hope DH will keep it up.

Got it on Monday at the Nintendo World Store advance launch. It's pretty harsh as a coach. The biggest issue is that it uses your age, height and weight to calculate your BMI. Both my co-worker and I who are pretty fit were labeled as overweight.

I'm having the most fun with the balance games, but the yoga poses are what I really feel.

The advantage of the balance board is that it can sense where you weight and center of balance is during the exercises, so while you might think you have perfect form, it can point out how you are doing the exercises improperly.

BMI is one of the stupidest concepts ever invented. It makes no accounting for fat:lean ratio or for bone structure. The old height:weight tables at least had three columns for small-boned, medium-boned, and large-boned. A meaningful BMI-type number needs to take into account bone structure as well as muscle development. If you have large bones and a lot of muscle, BMI will say that a very healthy person is overweight, and conversely a small-boned person without much muscle can be rated healthy in spite of having way too much fat.
